Within the context of the OP question, and Belloc/Chesterton’s position on Jews in English society, it was not that all Jews became successful plutocrats, but that all Jews were a tribe, and their loyalty was not to the nation, first, if at all, Of which tribe, a great number became successful plutocrats, or achieved wealth, power and position, esp. through international finance (say, Rothchilds). Or became successful through insider information, passed primarily along the tribal lines (say, the Marconi scandal).

And now the auto-censor is giving me trouble about posting something that is too similar to what I posted before, but then deleted, in order to get it connected to the correct post. Let’s see if adding this padding will let it pass muster. Original post was:

The penultimate para, nothing I differ with. Save that the Jew was the outsider par excellence, and with the added onus of Christ killer. But, to be sure, the Moor/Moslem also showed up, as in Chesterton’s THE FLYING INN.

In the last para, nothing I differ with. So, on sober reflection, not to worry. Not sure what thoughts were running through my mind.

And other words, to get past the censor.

Thanks for the response, I haven’t read the Flying Inn, might check it out.

It’s good. And has a Moslem theme for the villain. And some antisemitic tinged verses.

I have not read the book, but basing on a book review, I think that was what was indicated. Again, I am largely ignorant about this, and just restating what I have read. I apologize if I have read or recalled incorrectly.
