I don’t consider abortion the #1 issue. Whoever is elected president can’t really do much about it. It’s still going to be legal.

It’ll be legal until women stop choosing to kill their children.

This says it well, fully supports pro-abortion politicians and from the sound of it, well before now. Sometimes, we must realize that people may not like us for our skin color and may not have credible arguments.
 
But as for me, this is per Catholic teaching, open and shut, someone follows it or does not.

I call him Frankie. Here I call him Frank. He’s my family member.

Yes, I’m willing to vote for Hillary Clinton, and will do so unless Bernie Sanders somehow ends up the nominee.

I am confident Hillary is not going to be forcing anyone to abort their child. I place the blame for abortion on the person with whom the blame lies - the woman who chooses to have the procedure performed and contracts with someone to murder.

The general attitude I sense from many is "well,it’s the law,I cannot change it,so ,let’s move on …
We need to work tirelessly to be a voice for the unborn and yes educate women on the dignity and humanity of their unborn babies.We need the cooperation of those so invested in this evil,ie PP ,to make this education part of their outreach,by way of ultrasound machines in every clinic.The truth is they make waaaay too much money killing babies.They cannot afford to have the truth revealed .That we even have to have this debate here among fellow Catholic/ Christians is indeed disheartening:(

A woman who doesn’t want an ultrasound will never be forced to have one.

I’m against abortion myself, but after 40 years, no inroads have been made. You need to find another way of stopping it. Plenty of Republican presidents have come and gone, and abortion is still here. Can’t you see that what you’re doing isn’t working? It’s lip service, that’s all. Take another path to your goal.

Better than unsafe and illegal. It did exist prior to 1973, you know. A woman who wants an abortion is going to get one, legal or not, even if she has to do the procedure herself.

Maybe you could do us a favor and get Father Pavone to make a statement that Catholics can vote for hillary in good conscience. That’ll save us a lot of trouble.

Sorry but it isn’t enough to just say,I am personally against abortion,but I can’t dictate morality.This is a cop out.Wht do you think Fr.Pavone and his ministry are so relevant?Because,we are called as followers of Christ to fight the good fight,not just shrug our shoulders and push it off onto the next guy.again,that this is a constant source of debate on a Catholic Forum ,is really discouraging.We should all be in the same page re this issue

Well, you should try a different path. What you’re doing isn’t working. Get out there and protest with Frank. Stop arguing with me because I’m not going to change.

It isn’t enough to say, “I won’t vote for a president who is pro-choice.” That doesn’t work. It’s not enough.

No. Father Pavone is the leading prolife voice in America. If he says it’s ok to vote hillary, doesn’t that clarify a lot of things? I think you already alluded to him saying that to you in private if my memory serves.

Yes, but in MUCH smaller numbers. Many women will not violate the law, especially if it is also an unsafe procedure. (Check Fr. Pavone’s website re: pre-1973 figures.)
