Trump does not need to conduct rallies regarding abortion. As long as he restores no federal funds for abortion and defunds the phony “planned parenthood” pit - I will be more than happy as that is a start. From this we can work for saving more and more. The importance of this beginning to end abortion is that the commercial, drive up - carry out abortion killers will not be available on every corner and women will begin to think twice and not so vainly selfish over creating life and disposing of a baby. The surplus of freshly killed babies will no longer exist and the money will dry up. It will be a wonderful, joyous day when we have more abortionists out of business.

I am sure other protectors of babes can think of more great advances in saving life!

Hilary did not respond well as SoS when faced with the horrible terrorist attack on the 4 americans in Benghazi. She also lied to the American people AND the families who lost their sons/brothers/fathers/husbands. I can’t imagine her being able to face a crisis such as what happened in Brussels. Obama called the Fort Hood Domestic Terrorism attack “work place violence”. He could not bring himself to admit it was terrorism, since it happened so soon after his election. If something like that, or Paris, Brussels, or another San Bernadino happneed…would she be able to act accordingly? We already have countries that hate us and we have poor relations with many. I don’t think another Democrat will help our country, especially in the case of National Defense. I have a cousin stationed in Wyoming that did two tours in Iraq. He has a young son with another child due in June. I certainly would not want him to have to be deployed again.

If only we could ask J. Christopher Stevens,
U.S. Ambassador to Libya Sean Smith, U.S. Foreign Service
Information Management Officer, Glen Doherty or Tyrone S. Woods to give their (name removed by moderator)ut.
I share your thoughts about Hillary. I wish we did still had the 4 men you mentioned with us. What thoughts would they have?

Given that their families have asked that people stop politicizing their deaths and stop using their names and images in political ads, I think they may suggest that politicians stop trying to use their tragic deaths to political advantage.

Serious question for all the single issue abortion voters. Hillary says she wants abortion to be safe, legal and rare, and also says she supports reasonable limitations. I think that serious pro-life people have a right to be skeptical of those statements (and I know you are).

Given that, why are some of you supporting (or at least accepting) Trump? To me, he seems no better than Hillary. Are you buying his convenient recent supposed conversion to the pro-life cause? Or do you just think he will be better than Hillary on the issue? I think nominating Trump takes the issue out of play for this cycle. Why do you not?
I don’t meet those qualifications, but let me say: I understand people saying “Trump is better than Hillary”, but I don’t understand people saying “Trump is better than Hillary so he should be the GOP nominee”. 🤷

Also, today, the horror in Belgium weighs heavily on my heart. I "agree that now, perhaps more than ever, our country needs a steady, experienced hand in charge of its foreign policy decisions. There’s no one who better understands the people, the ideologies and the relationships at the heart of terrorism better than HRC.
But according to Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump it was her misguided vote to support the Iraq war and the vote of others as well which led to the destabilisation of the region. Sanders says it was the worst foreign policy blunder that he has ever seen. How many more grave foreign policy blunders like that of Hillary Clinton (in voting for the war in Iraq) can the world take before being blown up?
“Obviously, the war in Iraq was a big, fat mistake,” Trump said.“We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East.”
So Hillary does not understand the people, the ideologies and the relationships at the heart of terrorism because if she did, she would not have voted for the worst foreign policy blunder that Sanders has seen in his lifetime.
She has supported a position which resulted in the migration of hundreds of thousands of indigent migrants to Europe and now Europe is in chaos. All over Europe, people are fearing for their lives. German women are being molested as they walk on the street.

Why pick on Clinton for her vote for the Iraq War Resolution? She was joined in voting for it by every single Republican in the Senate except for one (48 in favor and 1 against). She was also joined by 29 other Democrats. The vote for the Resolution in the Senate was 77 in favor and 23 against. So should all of those 76 other people who voted for it be disqualified from holding office?

In the House, the vote was 297 in favor and 133 against. In other words, it received overwhelming support. Maybe we should just get rid of most of our elected officials for having voted for the Resolution. Clinton is hardly responsible by herself for the passage of the Iraq War Resolution. And what about the responsibility of the Bush administration for misleading everyone?

When why do you persist in responding to the issue? If I were tired of something, I would avoid it and not aggravate myself.
I’m not sure anyone is aggravated. But if no one responded with another viewpoint, the discussion would merely be among yourselves. What would be the point of that?

Amen to all of this! 👍

I actually love discussing politics - I find it energizing to learn how others think about the issues that face us all. But I had no idea that a one-trick pony would be trotted out at the mention of Clinton (or any Dem, really) in this environment. Lesson learned. Still praying about the best strategy to maintain my sanity!

In any event, the Dem primaries and caucuses last night wound up where I guess everyone thought they would. Congrats to Bernie & Hillary.

Also, today, the horror in Belgium weighs heavily on my heart. I agree that now, perhaps more than ever, our country needs a steady, experienced hand in charge of its foreign policy decisions. There’s no one who better understands the people, the ideologies and the relationships at the heart of terrorism better than HRC. And I say that as a person who does not agree with every foreign policy call she has made in her career.
Yes the primaries and caucuses went pretty much as expected. Hillary actually scored a bigger win in AZ than I expected.

Indeed LS, Belgium weighs on the heart. My prayers go out to them. Did you see SoS Clinton’s speech today on terror? I thought she definitely showed she has the steady hand and experience as she laid out the contrast to Trump and Cruz. And I as well say that as someone who has not agreed with every foreign policy call throughout her distinguished career.

You know that Hillary is a religious woman herself, right? You know her very public emails are filled with things of a religious nature - daily devotionals and the like?

That said - and this is a serious question for you - abortion does not seem to be much of an issue in these primaries (on either side - D or R). That’s just my observation and you might disagree.

Regardless, do you think it will become MORE of an issue in the general? In other words, do you think Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are going to discuss our country’s abortion policies very much or make it an important issue in either of their campaigns in their respective races to the White House?
I knew the Methodist Christian tradition has long been a part of her life. And if people were watching the debates and townhalls, I even recall her talking about the role of faith in her life as well as daily devotionals she receives.

I thought she definitely showed she has the steady hand and experience as she laid out the contrast to Trump and Cruz…
I don’t think so. She supported the war in Iraq and voted for it. It was this decision to enter the war in Iraq that is at least partially responsible for the problems with innocent people being terrorised that we are seeing today. Millions of people have been displaced and Europe is unsafe with people afraid to walk the streets. Whatever experience she had, only shows her to be a complete and total failure in foreign affairs. The whole world is in a state of heightened alert and fear wondering when the next terrorist attack will be. As Mr. B. Sanders has said, the policy decision to invade Iraq supported by Hillary is without a doubt the worst foreign policy blunder he has seen in his lifetime. Hillary has been a disaster.

She still voted for it, and liberals like to blame Bush over and over, when it seems quite clear that everyone was acting on bad intelligence, and it was no wonder given the meetings between Saddam and his generals.

So it was the intelligence community that dropped the ball not so much Bush because it’s not the president’s job to gather intelligence.

There is the just war criteria to consider here as well…

Why pick on Clinton for her vote for the Iraq War Resolution?
Because she is running for president and both Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have noted that her support of the decision to invade Iraq was a huge mistake. If she committed such an enormous and disastrous error as voting for this catastrophe, how can anyone trust such an individual to lead the country. She showed her incompetence when she failed to see the obvious that the invasion Iraq would be a total and complete fiasco destabilizing the region and leading to disaster not only in the Middle East, but lead to the formation of ISIS which has claimed responsibility for terrorizing men, women and children in Belgium and France. They claim to have 400 men ready to commit more acts of violence against innocent people. Europe was once safe, but no more.

You apparently didn’t read my entire post. The main reason I backed then Sen Obama in 08 was Hillary’s Iraq war vote. But Thorolfr made valid points back there as did Super L about bad intel. Granted my guy Bernie says he had the same intel. But Hillary or Trump’s finger and temperment on the nuke button or which I’d rather see receiving a 3 am phone call, I’ll take Hillary each and every time. And she was right there by President Obama’s side when our Commander in Chief gave the go ahead to go in after Bin Laden. Hardly a total failure.

So in that case conservatives can’t blame Hillary since she was acting on the same intelligence reporting as Bush.

Hardly a total failure.
Have you heard about the millions of people displaced in the Middle East and the terrorist attacks on innocent people in Europe? What is her solution to promote peace in the area? She was secretary of State and as such she had a chance to promote peace and tranquility and combat terrorism. She totally failed in that effort as is seen by what is happening in Europe today. It is a totally chaotic disastrous situation never before seen as a result of her incompetence and support of failed policies such as invading Iraq. The last I heard is that 400 fighters are being trained by ISIS to invade (unless they are already there) and blast the living daylights out of European cities.
What are her plans to prevent this?

I know one mother who does not feel that way. she is very vocal about how Hillary lied to her! I am sure Hillary wishes she would remain quiet.

It’s a “one-trick pony” because some Christians keep trying to argue that a Christian can vote for Hillary and still remain a faithful Christian. So we constantly have to rebut such nonsense. If Christian Democrats actually voted their faith, we wouldn’t have to be “one-trick ponies”.

Hillary’s “steady, experienced hand” is what caused the current crisis in the middle east. Her 4 years as SOS were when the entire ME exploded into flames. It would be foolish to give her power again considering the results.

I’m sure Hillary would support abortion rights for women; but I doubt she would demand that religious beliefs be changed. How and why would she attempt to do the latter?
You’d have to ask Hillary, as she was the one who explicitly said that religious beliefs must change. She has mentioned in the past “fun camps” for adults, so maybe that’s how she intends to carry out her wish to change religious beliefs of others.
