The good thing about either Trump or Hillary winning, is that they are both liars.

Chances are that America will emerge from the next four years still in the same trade relationships with the rest of the world that it is engaging in now.

Om the other hand, it is not a bad policy either to be critical of nations who are cheating on their ends of the trading deals that they have signed onto.

Actually GW Bush has referred to Bill Cilnton as his brother from another mother,so I have come to realize they are all cozy and that drama between the two parties is largely for the voters’ benefit. At the end of the day the all share a drink and a meal together so to speak:rolleyes:

That used to be the time when politicians hashed things out and reached a compromise.
 
Tim Kayne is described in the liberal media as a “devout Catholic” in spite of the fact that he has the highest rating with Plan Parenthood.He was chosen among other things for his knowledge of Spanish, to woo all the hispanics. Obama had the presidency, senate and house of Representatives at the time when reelection was far, so he did not do a thing for Latin people except deporting them in large numbers.
In the last year or so of his presidency, all of a sudden all illegals are wonderful.
It will be nice to see after they win the election how much Tim Kayne talks in Spanish to his constituents.
A devout catholic that signed 11 death penalties and supports abortion for the politics of it.

Is that acceptable? Charm is no substitute.
Then I no longer know what being a catholic means.(That goes for Mrs Pelosi too)

another devout Catholic like Joe Biden and Pelosi. They really like to cozy up to the Catholics.

You know, that is soooo true.

I will never forget the eulogy Orin Hatch gave at Ted Kennedy’s funeral. He was telling this “funny” story about the time he ran campaign ads in Utah saying he would go to DC and fight Ted Kennedy, along with other really negative things about TK. He then talked about how he and Teddy had a good laugh about those ads.

Everybody thought that was funny but I really didn’t. It made me realize what fools we are sometimes. I thought about the elderly folks in Utah who probably sent Hatch money for his campaign. I bet they didn’t appreciate hearing that he and Teddy yukked it up over that.

Don’t get me wrong, I like hearing stories about people from opposite sides getting along but why lie about it? Wouldn’t it be better for the country if they would stop the hyperbole and divisiveness? At least dial it back a few notches.

Remember this photo from Nancy Reagan’s funeral? I think this says it all about how the Bushes feel about the Clintons and vice versa. I mean, I actually really like this photo but, come on.

Anyway, Jeanne, I’m really glad you said what you did. It’s probably something we all should remind ourselves of from time to time, especially during election season. It’s a reminder I particularly needed today so, thank you!

Tom Coburn and President Obama are also good friends. They could not be further apart politically but I have never heard either say a bad word about the other. I really respect that.

Actually his pastor, who I presume knows him and his faith life better than anyone on CAF (Probably better than the “liberal media” too) described him as a devout Catholic.
