CNN is reporting the same thing. They have her up 4 pts. And Georgia isn’t the only traditionally red state skewing to Clinton of late. Utah is a statistical tie between the two. And they’ve not voted Democrat in Utah since 1964. The national polling is interesting of course, but it’s the electoral college polling that really matters when it comes to electing a president. And of late Clinton’s inroads into traditionally solid red states has to be particularly worrying to Republicans.

No but it does show that in the UMC you can have a contrary position, and the church acknowledges that.
You can have differing positions in many branches of the Church and still be considered good and faithful members. Sometimes I think it’s difficult for RCs to grasp this concept. I tend to see people scratching their heads over it a lot.

I did, dear.
Well it is particularly relevant then since she can hold views contrary to her church’s official position in the UMC and she’d not be doing anything wrong. A view I’d add that is itself in flux based on their most recent convention last month and the subsequent actions of 3 of their jurisdictions.

For some reason you left out an extremely crucial point… “but it does show that in the UMC you can have a contrary position, and the church acknowledges that.”

Edit: Oops Padres, I hadn’t seen that you already brought the rest of the sentence up.

You have stated this opinion many times in the past. While you may be speak for your own faith and maybe even other faiths’ , you do not speak for the Catholic faith.

But Mrs. Clinton isn’t Catholic

I agree.

No more difficult than the continuous failure of some non-Catholics on this board to grasp basic concepts of the Catholic Church.

I do think it can be difficult for Catholics in communion with Rome to understand that other branches of Christianity do allow members in good faith to reason and not have to agree on everything.
