Depends-if she recuses herself then her underlings would make the decision. But is she agrees to accept the recommendation of the career prosecutors and the FBI then Hillary is in trouble.
I’ll believe it when I see it.

This may just be me being cynical, but I can perceive a great gulf between “accepting recommendations” and “implementing recommendations.”
I can’t see where anything changed by this incident. 🙂

Surely you don’t think that was the topics being discussed.
What they discussed is irrelevant. But her giving that as an excuse for the AG of the US, meeting with the person who launched their federal career by appointing them U.S Attorney for the Eastern District of New York (a coveted position given it prosecutes Wall Street conduct) who is also a significant person of interest in multiple federal investigations (consider Hillary’s FOIA violations, her possible security violations, her possible pay to play Clinton Foundation donation violations as separate investigations) is no excuse at all.

Really? Imagine any other prosecutor sitting around with a person of interest in an investigation and citing a prior close personal and/or professional relationship as an excuse vice a potential conflict of interest. It certainly gives the appearance of one.

Hillary’s email problem is the bright shiny object that the media is focusing on, but I don’t think that’s what Bill wanted to talk to Loretta about. I think he asked her to try to get Obama to stonewall on the investigation into the Clinton Foundation. And sure enough, the next day the administration requested a 27 month delay in turning over Hillary’s emails that involved that investigation.

You mean that wasn’t a coincidence? 😃

Sadly, anyone who supports or defends her (and there are plenty of “faith filled” folks on here who do so) clearly cares nothing for their safety or their children’s safety. The problem is the support is an invitation for attacks and death that is indiscriminate when it happens; my children are as likely a target as the children of someone who votes for her. She is ripe for blackmail, ripe for making deals to sell out the US, and our secrets are in the hands of our enemies, and she and her supporters (on here) couldn’t care less. Perhaps when the casualties are their own children or other dead relatives it will hit home.

Too many people in this country really have concept of the seriousness of what she did, or of the vote for President in general. It’s disgusting that they can even vote.

Dismissive brush offs and claims of paranoia are the lifeblood of the leftist posters on this board. If you are simply going to ignore the specifics of a topic with claims of conspiracy, why bother clogging the board?
Great post. 100% spot on

:thumbsup:because it is an easy cop out and low blow jab not supported by anything substantive ,that’s why. This tactic learned from the political elites lie HC Bill C Obama the list goes on and on…everything is a conspiracy:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Believing in vast right wing conspiracies and witch hunts make Clinton’s lies and corruption and sheer incompetence more palatable for leftists for some reason.

msn.com/en-us/news/politics/lynch-to-remove-herself-from-decision-over-clinton-emails-official-says/ar-AAhQbIL?li=BBnb7Kz

*A private meeting at the city’s airport between Ms. Lynch and former President Bill Clinton this week set off a political uproar.

Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch plans to announce on Friday that she will accept whatever recommendation career prosecutors and the F.B.I. director make about whether to bring charges related to Hillary Clinton’s personal email server, a Justice Department official said. Her decision removes the possibility that a political appointee will overrule investigators in the case.

The Justice Department had been moving toward such an arrangement for months — officials said in April that it was being considered — but a private meeting between Ms. Lynch and former President Bill Clinton this week set off a political furor and made the decision all but inevitable*

…continued…

Thank goodness she became yet another person on the “women who just happened to run into Bill Clinton outside a restroom at an airport” list. That basically forced this decision.
This is such a display of arrogance and corruption on the part of the Obama administration. Are they that clueless? I would not be surprised. This is the kind of stuff George III used to do to the colonies. Completely out of touch with how people view them. I think this could be a major mistake, in terms of how the undecided/swing voters, moderates, independents, etc. look at Clinton vs. Trump.

observer.com/2016/07/exclusive-security-source-details-bill-clinton-maneuver-to-meet-loretta-lynch/

Interesting article claiming to be sourced from one of the security detail members that Lynch was not expecting a meeting and was completely caught off-guard. I never know what to believe in the press anymore… but… balance it against everything else.
Yikes.

It would seem to corroborate my theory (Bill engineering the whole thing) posted above in post #28. It’s an anonymous source, but the details provided appear to be authentic, from what I know.

My guess is that the anonymous source released this information at the AG’s request, or at least with her approval, to try to protect her credibility. It’s also throwing Bill under the bus, which won’t endear Lynch to Hillary (even if I’m wrong that this was leaked to protect the AG, that is certainly how the paranoid view of Hillary will see it - remember, this is the woman who created her own email system to keep her “yoga tips” away from the eyes of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. The Medicis were less paranoid than the Clintons.)

If Hilllary sees this as a power play by Lynch against her husband, it may give Lynch some operating room if she has to ok the prosecution. Lynch won’t have to pretend to be friends with the Mean Girl.

This article may not appear to be too momentuous, but I think it;s going to start a whole avalanche in motion…

I’d believe it. I don’t know why anyone would think Trump could actually win.

That being said, it’s going to be a looooong eight more years of this nonsense.

It is a premature prediction. Nate Silver is not a prophet. The future awaits and elections notoriously can swing on last minute events. It will be hard to be elected facing a felony indictment, for instance, if Clinton is indicted.

👍

Conspiracy theories are truly the lifeblood of much of the Republican Party base. And now the Party’s standard-bearer is the biggest conspiracy theorist of them all. Sad really…🤷
Right……I guess that’s why she’s under investigation from the FBI, which interestingly enough answers to a DEMOCRAT president.

I started to really suspect some of this when Obama took over. All of the concern over the controversial decision to invade Iraq in 2003 suddenly evaporated.

What it tells me, among other things like Orlando, is that some Americans are evidently willing to sacrifice those they claim to care for in order to be politically correct and look and feel good in front of the right people.

It’s absolutely interesting because in a way, conservatives are saving the left from itself. If the hard left were by itself in a culture war against radical Islam or a military conflict against Russia or China, they would lose so bad and so fast.

Just think of the cold equation here: These terror groups and others who threaten America are targeting liberal strongholds.

Here’s something for liberals to consider: If hundreds of thousands of people die in NYC or LA or Boston, most of those folks would be registered Democrats. If they can’t be sold on national security outright, how about if CA, NY and MA turned into a nice, hearty shade of red in the electoral college for decades to come?

It’s ludicrous that anyone with such damning evidence against them, Democrat or Republican, could be allowed to run. In the case of Hillary, she was not some newbie politician, and should certainly have known better, which to me makes her even more culpable than an inexperienced state “employee”.
Colin Powell also used a private email address as Secretary of State, but he was only an inexperienced former four-star general, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and National Security Adviser. 😉
