Oh my gosh. You may have to turn in your CAF card, you praised Bill Clinton.

You are awake that Trump is also being investigated. Of course, it is only states so who cares.
Well, Clinton was very pragmatic. Remember his 1995 State of the Union where he acknowledged the GOP victory?

Also, he was hotly criticized by the liberal press for daring to work with Speaker Gingrich on welfare reform, but got it done. He also signed DADT, which may or may not have been moral in the eyes of the Church.

Problem is he wasn’t very good on the life issues.

Not that I expect him to but he could flip all of those states and OH and still wouldn’t win.
Mathematically, that’s possible. but carrying a section of ME and PA and not winning VA or FL…that would be against conventional political wisdom.

Compared to Bush who started a disastrous war in Iraq and presided over the near melt down of our economy and Bill Clinton with his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky and his impeachment, Obama’s administration has been remarkably free of comparable disasters and scandals.
Not true. ISIS rose quickly under Obama and while it could be defeated swiftly, it is taking a long time to take back territory from them.

Another big difference is the mainstream media was largely all in against Bush (who was also widely criticized in conservative circles for not defending himself) but covers and supports Obama/Biden.

Obama also has the padding of race and age to his advantage.

El Rushbo recently covered that. His assessment is that people have stopped caring about what he does.
I don’t know if that is true, but I also can’t explain his high approval ratings either. Maybe El Rushbo is right, people don’t care anymore or they have just given up.

This group of Republican women for Hillary includes a Mississippi-born Southern Baptist along with a conservative health care policy analyst who has volunteered for anti-abortion causes.

Hillary isn’t really a people person. Her campaigning in Iowa earlier in the season was just horrid, like she didn’t even want to be there.
I don’t think that I have ever heard even the Democrats here, not even once, ever say anything positive about Hillary Clinton. The praise centers on the idea that she is a woman, or that she has broken the ‘glass ceiling’ by becoming a Senator and a Secretary of State.
They praise her in terms of surviving the ‘witch hunts’ of that vast right wing conspiracy, as if not being caught with the mythic smoking gun is something admirable.
In terms of her character, or her achievements on the job, or her personality, or her basic competence, it is not only conservatives that have nothing good to say about her.

The latest selling point that people here are offering of HRC-that at least she aint Trump- is truly damning her with faint praise.

I am not exactly a Hillary enthusiast; however, on this particular point, I have heard the opposite, which is that she is a people person. For example, she seemed to me very relaxed when playing a game of dominoes with some people in The Bronx, and she has the ability to connect with people and their problems one-on-one. So does Trump, by the way, according to my friend who met him several times in his law library. He is quite personable and with a good sense of humor on a one-to-one level.

I voted for Bernie but will vote for Hillary in the general election.

Just to take the time for a few positives for your benefit.

She played a leading role in providing health insurance for children whose parents could not afford it.

She has worked to investigate illnesses suffered by veterans.

As a U.S. senator, she was instrumental in securing $21 billion in funding for the World Trade Center site’s redevelopment and took a leading role in investigating the health issues that 9/11 first responders were facing.

As our Secretary of State, she visited 112 countries, helping to repair a badly damaged U.S. reputation left by George W Bush. She unveiled an initiative to fight global hunger.

Hope just for starters that helps!

Hillary Clinton did legal aid work.

“When I was a 27-year-old attorney doing legal aid work at the [University of Arkansas] where I taught in Fayetteville, Arkansas, I was appointed by the local judge to represent a criminal defendant accused of rape,” she said when broached with the topic in an interview with British online network Mumsnet. “I asked to be relieved of that responsibility, but I was not. And I had a professional duty to represent my client to the best of my ability, which I did.”
