As I mentioned previously, the Democratic campaign will be about painting Trump candidate as not safe to be in the office. If they can do that, they will win. We are seeing that strategy play out now.
I agree. I think there is a double strategy on the part of the Democratic campaign, namely, to focus on the trust issue with regard to Trump and to paint Hillary as the real candidate of change. On the surface, it sounds unbelievable that Hillary should be identified with trust and change, but there it is.

Indeed, the first rule of presidential campaigns is: there are not rules. It doesn’t matter how you play the game, as long as you win. Nobody can dispute that both parties play by those rules. In this race, there is no virtuous candidate, it is really a matter of picking the one who is the least odious and then taking a shower afterwards.
Indeed. And to be fair to the two major candidates it’s not limited to the major parties. Just the other day the Green Party Candidate deleted Tweets from her Twitter account where she supported vaccination for children because she’s now taking an anti-vaxxer approach in her campaign trying to drum up support. 🤷

Jill Stein did that? That is a good reason in itself NOT to vote for her, not so much because of her political ploy but because she is, supposedly, now opposed to vaccinations.

DNC CEO Amy Dacey submitting resignation today in the wake of the wikileaks scandal,

Goodness! So Mr. Khan is involved in a law firm that specializes in questionable visas for big money Middle Eastern people, including Iranians; that does Hillary Clinton’s tax returns, aided her in setting up her server, and has connections with her big Middle East donors.

What a shame that Mr. Khan would use his son’s memory to support his business interests in this way. One would expect it of Hillary Clinton, but a father?

Is it a big surprise to you that lawyers represent their clients? It’s not Mr. Khan’s business as a lawyer to ask whether a legal visa program is questionable. That’s the business of Congress and the Federal government which set up this program.

Whether this firm follows the law is not the point. The point is that Mr. Khan was supporting a client and his own business. He has every right to do tout his business and support his firm’s big money client. But that’s not how he went about it. He wasn’t honest about what he was doing up there on the podium and why he was doing it.

And Hillary Clinton, one of his firm’s clients, knew it too.

But the horror of Melania Trump deleting her website! :rotfl:
Oh my gosh, now that you mention it…

But the horror of Melania Trump deleting her website! :rotfl:
I wonder why Donald isn’t tweeting in indignation to the publishing of lewd photos of his wife? Rumor ( as substantiated by the famous interwebs) has it that he is behind it. It must be true since it’s on the internet. See what I mean?

Sorry. That story is already being debunked and laughed at. It’s just another way to take a shot at this family.
Oh? Don’t just say it, then. Show us credible evidence of the debunking. Failing that, it’s worthy of belief. I’m guessing we’re going to see more about it.

But the horror of Melania Trump deleting her website! :rotfl:
So Democrats are horrified that Melania deleted her website and Republicans are horrified that Mr. Khan deleted his website. So now everyone’s horrified. 😉

Ohhh, this is getting curiouser and more curiouser…

Republican Rep. Richard Hanna will vote for Clinton

Rep. Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.) will cast his ballot for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton this November, becoming the first Republican member of Congress to cross party lines and vote directly against Donald Trump.

“For me, it is not enough to simply denounce his comments: He is unfit to serve our party and cannot lead this country,” Hanna wrote in an op-ed for Syracuse.com published Tuesday.

Hanna, a three-term lawmaker who had previously said he could never back Trump, acknowledged long-standing issues with Clinton but noted her commitment on common issues.

“Secretary Clinton has issues that depending on where one stands can be viewed as great or small. But she stands and has stood for causes bigger than herself for a lifetime,” Hanna wrote. “That matters. Mrs. Clinton has promoted many of the issues I have been committed to over the years including expanding education and supporting women’s health care.”

While noting that he disagrees with her “on many issues,” wrote Hanna, who previously said he’ll retire at the end of his term, “I will vote for Mrs. Clinton.”

“I will be hopeful and resolute in my belief that being a good American who loves his country is far more important than parties or winning and losing. I trust she can lead,” he wrote. “All Republicans may not like the direction, but they can live to win or lose another day with a real candidate. Our response to the public’s anger and the need to rebuild requires complex solutions, experience, knowledge and balance. Not bumper sticker slogans that pander to our disappointment, fear and hate.”

Hanna represents the state’s 22nd district, which narrowly voted for Mitt Romney over President Barack Obama in 2012—49.2 percent to 48.8 percent.
