Moody’s: Clinton’s economic plan would create 10.4 million jobs in four years

rawstory.com/2016/07/moodys-clintons-economic-plan-would-create-10-4-million-jobs-in-four-years/

Sounds like a plan!
Reading the article, the logic sounds like BS
  • Raising the minimum wage won’t have a negative impact
  • Cheap education will create jobs (maybe for College teachers?)
  • Mandatory family leave will create jobs (don’t see how)
  • Govt Pre-school will create jobs (maybe for teachers?)
The article made a big point about increasing the size of the workforce. That just creates more competition for the available jobs and suppresses wages.

What we need is a tight labor market for an extended period, so the long term unemployed are brought back into the productive workforce.

I have little confidence in Hillary Clinton’s ability to stimulate the economy and create more jobs. I believe rather that she is the candidate of the status quo, no matter how the campaign tries to portray her. With regard to foreign policy as well, I don’t place much trust in her judgment or prudence. The problem for me, however, is that, while Trump may have some innovative programs in mind to help those who are suffering economically, he too doesn’t appear trustworthy in regard to managing foreign affairs. This problem is linked to his erratic temperament and narcissism. The Republican Party has really got itself and the country in a pickle by selecting a candidate who may be the worst possible messenger of change. That is, the packaging of the product is all wrong, whereas in the case of Hillary, I don’t know if there is even a product.

It occurred to me that if Mike Pence and Tim Kaine were at the top of their respective tickets rather than running mates, it would be a much better presidential race. Can we switch the order?

The level of denial here is stunning. If one is a senior partner at a firm retained by the government of Saudi Arabia, then yes, that connects one directly to the government of Saudi Arabia.

If one of your clients is the government of Saudi Arabia, then yes.

That’s why criminal defense attorneys are all aiding and abetting criminals and thus are criminals themselves. See the logic? No? Well, if the logic doesn’t convince you, then perhaps the rolling on the floor laughing and rolling of eyes will convince you of your error…

Hewlett Packard’s Meg Whitman joins CEOs endorsing Clinton

Calling Donald Trump an “authoritarian character” and a threat to democracy, Meg Whitman,** a prominent Republican fundraiser** and chief executive of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, endorsed Democrat Hillary Clinton’s White House bid late Tuesday.

“To vote Republican out of party loyalty alone would be to endorse a candidacy that I believe has exploited anger, grievance, xenophobia and racial division. Donald Trump’s demagoguery has undermined the fabric of our national character,” Whitman posted on Facebook about the Republican nominee.

In an interview with the New York Times, which first reported the endorsement, Whitman said it was time “to put country first before party” and that she would give a “substantial” contribution to Clinton’s campaign.

Whitman told the Times that Trump is a “dishonest demagogue” and said that those who look at other failed democracies and believe “it can’t happen here” are mistaken.

“Trump’s unsteady hand would endanger our prosperity and national security. His authoritarian character could threaten much more,” Whitman wrote on Facebook.

Now Hillary owes Hewlett Packard a return favor. That, and perhaps a Bill Clinton speech fee will make it a very big favor. The Clinton “Accounts Payable” ledger just received another entry.

It’s very strange, isn’t it? Big Business and Wall Street are constantly being brought up as something against which the Democrats are our avenging angels, but now their endorsements are 👍

Wow! Will be interesting to see HC wiggle her way out of this scandal. She must be exhausted by now:eek:
Hillary doesn’t have to wriggle herself out of anything, because the media never asks her anything. Their guns are trained on her opponent 24/7. It’s nice to be hillary.

I think its a strategic move by the Hillary Clinton campgaign.
Hillary never gives the media the opportunity to ask her anything. She hasn’t held a press conference in 242 days. Trump, on the other hand just cant stop talking or tweeting

Not only this. The media for all intents and purposes might as well be on Hillarys payroll.

I agree with this statement, with the exception of it must be nice to be Hillary…😛

She’s very naive in her assessment about how the White House is currently run. Why is it preferable that the authoritarian figure running the show is an adviser (Valerie Jarrett) and not the elected official?

How do you know Valerie Jarrett is “running the show”? Is she really as powerful and influential as Dick Cheney supposedly was?

Some of them aren’t doing so well, financially. if she’s elected, maybe “being on the payroll” in one way or another isn’t beyond the realm of possibility. After all, it would just be your money she would be spending.
