I am not that much into Gospel Music, but I have to admit Hillsong does have a few beautiful songs out there. I enjoy the music enough to youtube them once in a while.

I learned never to comment though on one of their youtube videos, they try to convert you! heheheheheh

Just because I am not into that genre of music does not mean I am a pagan. LOL

When you say ‘convert’ do you mean to their church or just Christianity in general?

From news articles and anecdotal reports I’ve read, I’m assuming it’s the former and not the latter, but I’m just checking. This church does have bad track record when it comes to unscrupulous ways of preaching and converting.

Still, nothing wrong with preaching the good word in general! 🙂

Oh, and by the way, if anyone wants to download Hillsong music, you can via Torrents. I think isoHunt has all the albums. But, if you have the money to spare, you should support the church.

Well, I think they are in Sydney though I could be wrong. They did ask where I lived, or I should say rather the general area of where I lived. It all started as a comment after mine, the response was “Do you want to accept Jesus?”

I said I already knew him. So then they wanted to know what that meant to me. To “know Jesus”.

I quit responding, did not want to appear rude and some were sincere and probably very very young.

So they began to send me messages through my youtube account, asking for my email addy and if I ever wanted to talk. Which I ignored. I am sure it was innocent and they meant well, but it just had a bit of a creep factor to it.

Fair enough, then.

I knew this thread would eventually evolve into an attack on Protestants in general, I was foolish to believe otherwise. Just can’t quite help yourselves, can you? Sorry for posting it.

I thank you for correcting me on that, though.

Ruthie, what you’re referring to is essentially the prosperity gospel I was talking about, I don’t agree with it either–at least not to it’s fullest extent.
Hi there jesse james,

first of all I thought you wanted to have you account fully deleted from this Catholic Forum?

But Jesus Christ has plans for you to become Catholic and that is why you are still here, unknownly of course.

Jesus bless you on your journey home.

Yes, I would please. I thought I may as well make a few more posts, though.

It’s nothing personal, but I just don’t fit in here and don’t ever intend on converting. I think I’d prefer a forum where by beliefs are embraced, not constantly criticized and questioned.

I like Hilsong although I still lean towards slightly older worship songs becaue they’re the ones I grew up with. Still, Hillsong is good.

Exactly! I have a very hard time being charitable about the prosperity gospel. Too many people have been hurt by it.

God bless you,

Ruthie
