Even thouh I’m not Catholic, I do find what has happened in Spain, New York, Los Angeles, and other churches a very bad sign of the times. I find it objectionable to do such things to any church.
Also from what happned here, such as in New York, it was obviously gang related because of the reference to Crips, and get off our block. One of the problem with many of those people is that they seem to think that everything belongs to them, and we are holding it till they need it.
Also from the contacts that I have had with Wiccans, Satanists, and pagans, the first thing they would do if they found out that they knew of anyone that does such things is excomunicate them, and the other is report them to the proper athorities. I have 4 churches within a mile of my home and I’m usually one of the first to call the police when something is going on illigal. More people need to keep their eyes and ears open, you need not tell the police everything about yourself when calling, other than what you hear or see and a number to call you back at.
As people reguardless of what religion we are we need to look out for each other, be our brothers keeper. We must never assume that someone else will get involved, but on the other hand we must do what we can to protect ourselfs as well against criminals when they are seeking to go after who turned them in.
It is because of this looking the other way that crimes against churches happens in the first place. the same with our homes and where we work and go to school. Also in these tough times police are doing more to be profitable (writing tickets) than going after criminals that might shoot back. We need to work togeather to protect our comunities, we need more people calling in when things happen so the police will do more than just write a report, but catch those committing the crimes. As leaving false clues to who did something is nothing new, besides Modern Satanists and Wiccans do not belive in satan or the devil, nor worship them, only dangerous people do.
