LOL.

{I stopped reading here}
LOL? What a sick and disgusting response.

Clearly you are not really serious since you clearly thing that one spouse beating up another is actually humorous. How mature and charitable.

So much for you earning any of my sympathy or respect. Stop wasting people time here with what is now clearly your fictitious situation.

Stay away from me.

rpp,

That was totally inappropriate. You are not in control of her relationship, and don’t think that you are all knowing. She doesn’t have to obey any of us or our advice, and it is okay for her to have a cheerful attitude.

Whitacre_Girl,
I just gleanced through some of the recent posts back and forth and it sounds as though you have things as well in hand as can be for now. 👍

I too will remember you in my prayers. (my list gets longer and longer)

The one thing I wanted to add, has already been said in one way or another in other posts.
In these things there is danger in both directions (underreacting or overreacting), either one could make a small situation worse. We are not professionals and we know very little about your personal life and your husband not at all.
I’m glad that you both are looking at this as a challenge to be resolved together through Love, Prayer and councilling. May God continue to walk with both of you.

Peace
James

Oh, and just for the record I was "LOL"ing in response to the alcohol thing. I deal with tough situations by trying to lighten the mood, and alcohol was very much NOT a part of the picture. I Didn’t know that earned that kind of treatment from someone like that. Shows you the understanding of some people. I’m just gunna find someone to delete this thread. It’s causing me more pain that anything that’s happened in the last few days. Guess this is what I get for reaching out to people of my faith.

Oh dear, some posters in this thread are behaving as though they would be slapping each other if this wasn’t over the internet. 😉

Seriously though, I would let it go this time, but if he repeats his actions (or is hurtful in other ways) then you have to be concerned.

You are both wrong. When you laugh at someone, no matter how big or strong they are, who gets beaten up by their spouse, you have no moral ground to object. If you do not like the fact that you mock me for being a victim of spousal abuse, and having the self control to not hit back, then you do not deserve any respect and you get what you deserve.

I honestly feel sorry for your sick indifference to those who suffer. You have my pity, but little else.

Yeah, riiiiiight. That is about as truthful as some who says the sky is purple polka-dot. That was why it was the first thing you said, unqualified. That would be why you mock me. Here and I tried to empathize with you. What a mistake that was. I will remember you.

Yeah, riiiiiight.
If you knew anything about the way people deal with issues and stress, they frequently laugh at very stressful times. When I was younger my mom tried killing herself and that same night I was cracking jokes with the paramedics that came. It is very common for that to happen, and I would appreciate it if you would take my word that what I have said is true and also the fact that it is true that I was in no way mocking you, and that you would also not be so quick to pass judgement on me.
