Ok, so I’m just over six weeks post-op from a total hysterectomy (plus removal of the ovaries.) At 33 I have been put instantly into what they call surgical menopause. It’s supposedly more intense as it is instant and my young age. Whatever. I’m thankful to God that my severe female pain is completely gone! :extrahappy:
However, I’m feeling totally useless. I still have to rest or even sleep 16-18 hours a day. It’s absolutely crazy. This isn’t laziness. This is I feel like I’m going to fall over if I don’t lay down tired. My Finromyalgia has kicked up all over body pain big time. I don’t know if the severe fatigue is menopause, Fibro or a combination thereof. My blood work is fine. Hormones are off, but they are working on those.
I do what little I can around the house between naps, but it’s not much. I was hoping to be able to go back to work in two weeks, so not happening. I don’t even feel safe driving yet. I want to excercise but just don’t have the energy. I need to shed some pounds, I’ve had to move up to size 24. I just feel exhausted, achy, fat, useless and on top of it in mourning complete loss of my dreams of childbearing.
Even still all this is more manageable than the constant severe pain pre-surgery. I guess I just hoped for a full recovery, not a trade in of one set of symptoms for another.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings. Keep praying for me please. Please pray for my hubby too as he is working so very hard right now and has a job that is exhausting, long hours and not something he particularly enjoys.
Thanks!
