Boy, I must live in a bad place? You know, when you look across the Church and everyone is holding hands every week all over the place, like a human chain. Picture a red rover like scenario. Hand holding does not happen like this at your parish?
I have lived in every diocese in the Northwest and every single parish I have seen does this.
Like I said, on 9-11 2001 or a family holding hands, or a loved one who needs comfort or even a stranger in obvious tears or pain. Sure, but it just isn’t that common. At our parish we get the raising hands at the doxology which adds to the red rover effect

and the awesome hand squeeze at the end.
