Almost every movie i have seen of late has “Jesus Christ” as part of the script. Weird…i imagine them swapping it for their mum’s name or some other religious figure and it is still…weird. Sad and evil to have the divine name of our Blessed Lord reduced for the sake of entertainment makes me feel disgust.

Just one of many reasons I watch no current degenerate filth movies or TV shows.

One of the reasons there are fewer and fewer TV shows and movies I will watch. Although if the show is otherwise good and the usage is rare, I will say part of the Divine Praises (out loud) when I hear it. Either Blessed be His Holy Name or Blessed be the Name of Jesus, depending on which name was misused.

Regarding the thread title: It gives a hint of whom they are really working for.

Some years back, I saw an obviously Christian long-haul trucker on Interstate 5 in Washington state. Painted on the doors of his trailer was: “Jesus Christ is your Savior, not a swear word!”

Hollywood exists to make 1) make money and 2) to push every form of obscenity, profanity, degeneracy, and perversion. The blockbusters accomplish both goals and they also bankroll less profitable movies to accomplish the second goal.

Absolutely right. And it is difficult to find a movie without using the f word. F this, f that, mf bla bla bla.

Even being raised Jewish, I had picked up the habit of saying “Jesus Christ” inappropriately. A co worker pointed out to me that she found it offensive and hurtful when we did this…and other than a few oopsies, I have removed the habit of speech.

It was just a poor speech habit and once I became aware of it, it really didn’t take too much effort to leave it behind. I also noticed how often it’s said…not just in entertainment but in everyday speech. Another coworker changed it to Cheese and Rice…which is certainly better but still missing the point that we just need a better exclamation word!

We use several other religious terms as exclamations as well and for those, like me, that find it insensitive at best, we just need to figure out how to get the exclamation out using a more secular vocabulary! Even atheists have discussed the habit and tried coming up with better alternatives. Everyone should become more aware of what comes out of our mouths!
