I’m at a loss as to how anybody can call “physically prying something out of somebody’s hand” violence or assault. PUHLEEZE!
I’m not sure what the legal definition of “violence” is, and Florida law specifically uses that word in defining assault.

However, the person who instigated the wrestling match was probably guilty of battery.
784.03 Battery; felony battery.–
(1)(a) The offense of battery occurs when a person:
  1. Actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other; or

His little complaint against the “violence” of the woman who attempted to intervene is pathetic.
Back in the day, if a guy were ruffed up by a woman, he would be so humiliated that he would never show his face in public again. His peers would remind him daily that he was “beat up by a girl”.

Last night I was telling a group of friends about this. Very eye-opening.

For one, there was a minister from Romania, Dumitru Duduman, imprisoned and tortured several times for preaching and bible-smuggling, before being exiled to the US. When he arrived here, he fell into despair because he couldn’t understand anyone and he couldn’t make anyone understand him. (He spoke only Romanian.) At this time, he asked G_D why G_D was punishing him, why He brought him here. G_D replied by giving him a vision of what was going to happen to America. G_D showed Dimitru the state of California, Las Vegas, the state of New York, and the state of Florida. Of each of these places, G_D said, “This is Sodom and Gomorrah. In one day it will burn.” I was surprised that Florida was on the list. As I wrote to my friends,
“…I found nothing particularly sinful in mobile home parks filled with slightly used trailers and thousands of retirees eating buffet at 4:00 PM (unless you consider what the cooks did to the food particularly sinful…) Then I read the “beheading” report, and learned for the first time the amount of slavery that occurs in Florida.”
(The “beheading” report can be found here – “Mexican Human Traffickers Behead Young Girl In Florida For Resisting Rape” – as part of a report by the Florida Attorney General’s office to the Florida House of Representatives.)

So now, associated with Florida, there is slavery, drug traffic, groups of Satanists trying to steal consecrated hosts and attacking priests, and now, just a few miles from Orlando, you have Todd Bentley’s Florida Revival, complete with messages from his two angels (who supposedly give Todd messages from G_D, but neither of whom have ever praised the name of Jesus – not a good sign.)

Yep, I’d say Florida is working itself up for a scorching…

Not sure if anyone posted this, but the host was returned.

I hope the last statement means that Mr. Cook wants an apology from the people who (allegedly) threatened his life, rather than from his bishop. If he (Cook) is Catholic, as previous articles stated, then he needs to be doing the apologizing when he meets with his bishop, not the other way around.

Even granted he committed some offense, it is also true that an offense was committed against him when he was physically mistreated AND when he received threats from Catholics (read the new article)
I seriously doubt the he received threats.

I doubt his life was actually threatened.

Wow the outrage here is hard to describe especially over a cracker, also how can you justify acting all high and mighty when your religion hid preiests accused of molesting children?

Now since this a CATHIOLIC ANSWERS board answer this for me:

I see these “crackers” for sale all the time at religious stores, now is that not sacrilegious? Especially since stuff like this is supposed to be free to begin with?
Aren’t they charging money for the body of Christ which is supposed to be distributed to all of his Believing “Children” out of Faith Alone?

Please give me a reasoned answer, thanks.

First of all, you have never seen the Eucharist on sale at any religious store. There have been cases where someone has hid the Eucharist in a similar fashion to this story and tried to sell it on EBay, and, yes, it is sacreligious.

Second, the sad matter of priests and bishops who have sinned is completely unrelated to the sacrelidge involved with profaning the Body and Blood of Our Lord.
