Disgusting behavior! Lord have mercy on us all and guide this man to the True path.

The source is the person who claim this.Got any proof of that or are you just bearing false witness?
Lets see your source.
People, can I PLEASE ask again that you resist the temptation to mention other religions in your emails? This is the letter I sent to President Bruininks of the University of Minnesota. I cc’d Professor Myers.
Dear President Bruininks,
We live in an amazing country. As much as people all around the world love to hate the United States many will do whatever it takes to emigrate here and be allowed to enjoy the freedoms our young men and women have fought for for over 200 years. I love my country. I love the rights that are granted which allow freedom of expression, freedom of religion, freedom to be all you aspire to. These freedoms are precious and are not to be taken away, except and until someone takes advantage of those freedoms to disrespect , dishonor and cause injury to someone else.
President Bruininks, this has happened by a professor of your school. I am sure you are aware of the details. Had Professor Myers used the ‘n’ word or flushed a Koran down the toilet, or printed a picture/caricature of Mohammed, the uproar would be deafening. If like Imus, Professor Myers had made disparaging comments about some black female athletes, the call to fire him would have in fact brought his dismissal.
I am having a very hard time understanding why Professor Myers still has a job. As a Catholic, I can tell you that my faith is at the very core of who I am. When someone spews so much hate and ridicule and publicly announces his intent to desecrate something so sacred as a consecrated Eucharistic host, the body of my Lord Jesus Christ, it causes me much pain. That this man still has a job and has not even been suspended scares me. If he can get away with this kind of hate speech, what next? It is a slippery slope until my right to practice my religion as I see fit is gone.
President Bruininks, I call on you right now to suspend and then fire Professor Myers. I will pray for you and your family as I will pray for Professor Myers and his family at this difficult time. I will pray for forgiveness and I will pray that you will do the right thing.
God Bless You and God Bless America
I signed with my name, city and state.
My email to President Bruininks in no way suggested any such thing. I said what I did to show him that we ALL should be respected. I said what I did to make him think about why this professor should not be allowed to get away with this - just as any other person would not be allowed to get away with treating any group so badly.People, can I PLEASE ask again that you resist the temptation to mention other religions in your emails?
It’s totally counterproductive, sets up an ‘us v them’ mentality and a ‘poor little Catholic, I get treated badly whereas Muslims get all the respect’ kind of whininess that does an infinite amount of harm to how Catholics are perceived.
Besides which it’s totally taken the wrong way - Myers has said in his blog that people have SUGGESTED that he mistreat a Koran, so clearly HE is taking well intentioned references to Islam entirely the wrong way.
If he were receiving such threats - it would be disgusting. However - it is doubtful he is receiving threats. As despicable as the hostage-holding is, I’m also disgusted by the violence with which some people have responded. Thou shalt not kill! Reacting with violence will only weaken our point and disgrace the beauty and love that is Christ in the Eucharist.
I used to attend that parish. It is very disturbing. I remember the virgin Mary statue outside being attacked. As well, as I heard of some of the other things going on, e.g. robberies. Sad to hear. The pastor is pretty decent, I defended him a few times out in public, but with four priests serving the parish there is no need for extraordinary ministers. As well, a friend told me that he is against hanging up a picture of Our Lady of Czestochowa in the church. The Poles have to drag our Lady out of jail (closet) for their Mass on Sundays. Very sad. I attended Mass in Miami for my confirmation and before the Confirmation Mass I attended a Low Mass and felt comforted by a picture of Our Lady of Czestochowa hanging on the walls and no need for the closet. Off topic, but on the other hand, I told CCM to get rid of Communion in the hand and similar abuses years ago and I was laughed at and Traditionalism was attacked openly at the student center. Now what I was rallying against has become fully manifest in the publicAt a Catholic Church near this University, the pastor does just that. He trains the EM to watch and make sure everyone takes the host into their mouths. In fact, he also has “lookers” to make sure too. The reason he has had to do this is because he has had many Eucharist taken for the Black mass that Satan worshippers do. He told me about it when I use to volunteer at that parish. So yes, EM do need to be trained. In fact, what the parishioner did, if she indeed did try to get the host from his hands, is what this priest teaches his “lookers” to do. He has told them if the person resist to get him or another priest. We have a large group of Satan worshippers in that area where the University is at and the parish church I mention. I was not aware of it, but the priest told me all about it. His church has been robbed so many time, of both things and the Eucharist, that he has so many alarms now in that church and in the social hall. One time he said that a Satanic worshipper came into the church while he was giving Mass and ran to him with a knife. Many off duty police officers who were parishioners grabbed him. I saw one woman at this parish receive the Blood of Christ and kept it until the end of Mass in her mouth. She went outside and spit it out into the bushes. I was appalled. I informed the priest but she had ran to her car and left. So I can’t blame this priest for being the way he is. He loves Jesus in the Eucharist and defends him.
I don’t think this is the same situation with this Cook guy, but one never knows. A true Catholic would not do this, but than again many Catholic are really not aware of Jesus Real Presence. I see that daily here in many parishes. Many people don’t even genuflect anymore when they come into a Catholic Church where the Tabernacle is present. It is sad.![]()
I like that idea.I admit I haven’t read all the posts in this thread so if this has already been suggested, my apologies.
I think we should all send Paul Z Myers a cracker, since that’s what he thinks the Eucharist is. It would be a very peaceful type of protest if the U of M were inundated with thousands and thousands of crackers mailed to them by individual Catholics from all over the world.
Just go out and buy a box of saltines or better yet a box of Ritz crackers and send them individually.

Having read his blog, I would guess that a smart-alecky professor with contempt for Catholics isn’t going to be bothered by lots of Ritz crackers coming in for him, especially if he likes Ritz. He can take home his fill, give them away to colleagues, serve them at faculty meetings and meetings of student clubs he may be advising, and either pitch the remainder or give them to a homeless shelter. In short, he’d probably get a kick out of hundreds of Catholics wasting their time and money on the project, and have something of value out of the experience as well. I don’t know why the pastor would refuse the hanging of Our Lady of Czestochowa, but there is one of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. There is a stature of St. Joseph and St. Anne in the back of the church, as well as the Infant of Prague and the Holy Family on the side of the church. He also has a stature of St. Michael the Archangel. Before entering the church on the side where the office is, there is a huge statue of Our Lady too. I don’t know how long ago you are talking about, but I have seen the polish take Our Lady of Czesthochowa out from where the priest get dressed and not a closet.I used to attend that parish. , not just private.
I seriously doubt he’s that much of a cad to actually eat a crumbled up cracker, touched by human hands. Ritz crumble real easily and no doubt would crumble in the mail. Besides even if they arrived intact, he’d probably be afraid they were tainted somehow. Kinda like the guy who sends his food back to the kitchen or is rude to the waitress has to wonder.Having read his blog, I would guess that a smart-alecky professor with contempt for Catholics isn’t going to be bothered by lots of Ritz crackers coming in for him, especially if he likes Ritz.
