Villified, mocked, slandered, and besieged, this man never blinks, and always manages to demonstrate the confidence one would expect from the “Vicar of Christ”. He lives in our age, amidst the apathy of many Catholics who live fundamentally secular lives, but I think that posterity may reveal to future generations that a saint held the mantle of pontif during these confusing times, and that his humility was a sign of the true power which forms the core of the Roman Catholic Church. There is a mystery which infolds this man, and to the faithful he represents the consumate example of obedience and fidelity. He is loved by many.
Each and every action of this man convinces me that the will of God is at work in him. May God grant him many more years as our leader. His wisdom inspires optimism. God bless Pope Benedict.
I do not think this man moves of his own volition. He is a blessed agent of God.
