**Holy Land Artifacts

**Americans who have never been to the Holy Land can now view some of the finest artifacts representing the times places of Bible stories in an innovative new touring exhibit, “From Abraham to Jesus.” This traveling exhibition features the largest collection of sacred texts and artifacts from the Holy Land – more than 340 --ever to visit the United States, and is designed to help visitors see, hear and feel 2,500 years of Biblical history. The exhibit is a collaboration among The Institute of Archeology of Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the world’s top experts in Israeli archeological history and themed storytelling.

Curator, Dr. Rusty Maisel and exhibit designer, Eliav Nahlieli, , provide a behind-the-scenes look at this special collection, which not only includes the Isaiah Scroll, but also the ossuary – or bone box – that archaeologists believe held the remains of Simon the Cyrene, the man who carried the cross for Jesus. According to Nahlieli, “The idea was to try and find the thread to connect the artifacts and actually to build a story, a full story starting from Abraham going all the way through history to Jesus.”
