The right hand symbolism is in reference to authority. Jesus sit at the right hand of his Father and as such has the same authority as the Father.

One point to make here is that in the new Testament, God is a term used almost exclusively for the Father and Lord is used almost exclusively for the Son. I believe the reason for this is to create a distinction between the Father and the Son without reducing one before the other. If you look at the Old Testament, Lord and God are used interchangable in reference to God.

The right hand of God is defined best by St. John in the first few verses of his Gospel. “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was WITH God and the Wor WAS God…”

Hopefully this helps.

Right Hand always symbolizes power or authority… Jesus is the power or authority of GOD

We teach that the Son refers to the human form or humanity of God’s Word or his Logos.

The Logos is part of the Father or God’s nature and is therefore equal to the Father as My word would be equal to me as it proceeds from me. The identity of the Son in separation comes from the humanity, not the deity of Christ…

The Deity is God, and respectively the WOrd of our Father and therefore the same person, deity, spirit as Him.
The person of Jesus Christ is fully human and fully divine. The Son ALWAYS refers to the person who is fully human and fully divine. The Logos is equal in nature to the Father as they are consubstantial. The identity of the Son NEVER changed in the incarnation. God took on human flesh while remaining fully God. This is an mystery that no one can comprehend. So we can rightfully say that Jesus is God. Not part of Him or a part of the Father but Jesus in His entirety is God. This has been upheld in the counter Arian council of Nicea and has been noted for centuries in the Creed that came from that council.

When you say, “we teach”, I am not sure who “we” are but there seems to be a need for a more orthodox understanding of the Word made flesh…Peace…teachccd 🙂

Jesus has the authority granted Him by His Father. Jesus has full authority as God. He sits at the right hand of the Father to represent how pleased the Father is with the Sacrifice of His Son. Jesus could never be the power of God without fully being God Himself. There is no distinction of divine power within the Godhead even though it has been revealed that the Son is begotten of the Father. This is indeed a mystery but never meant to diminish the Person of Jesus Christ…teachccd

Exactly… Jesus is the power and authority of God, the Word… God’s Logos… God our Father in visible form
Colossians 1

WHo is the image of the invisible God

There is no distinction of persons between God and his Logos… that would be inconceivable

Jesus is not the Father or else how would He pray to Him? Jesus would have been praying to Himself. There is definitely a distinction of Persons within the Godhead all with one divine nature. The Father is not the Son and neither are the Holy Spirit. There are three “Whos” in one “What”. Jesus is not the power of God. He is God. The Father has infinite power without the Son as does the Son without the Father. They both share one infinitely powerful divine nature.
