Yeah, the water may be clean spiritually, but not quite physically.

Why is it odd to have Holy water around? ok it’s strange to have it near a fridge (possibly) but it’s certainly not odd to have it in the home or not in my understanding anyway.
Holy Water and Theophany Water aren’t the same thing.

Holy Water is blessed, while Theophany Water is actually consecrated on Theophany–complete with an Epiclesis.

Latins use the former, while Byzantines almost always use the latter. (We don’t have Holy Water at the doors [unless as a latinization]; that’s just not how we enter a church.).

That’s why I found it surprising for her to mention Holy Water about the house rather than Theophany Water.
How much can you drink a day?
There’s a practical limit in that it’s only consecrated once a year . . . we probably do four or five gallons. People bring it home, but generally a couple or few ounces.
If you choose to do this make sure you bring drinkable water to your priest to bless and not just take some out of the can in the sacristy or the baptismal fount.
That’s not how you end up with Theophany Water . . . we just don’t have that kind of dispenser . . .

I don’t believe the poster I was responding to was asking about Theophany Water. If he/she was, then they certainly would have known about it.

I was speaking about holy water only. Next time I’ll make sure to not make any assumptions and spell everything out.

ETA: Oh wait - It is spelled out in the question!
How much can you drink a day? I want to start drinking Holy Water… that sounds amazing!

Ok so I was wrong to use The term Holy Water. Trying to perhaps help others understand ended up causing more confusion. Anyway, my priest told me to bring him the paper towels used to clean it up and he’ll dispose of them.

Well if Hell is hot and stifling, may a drink of cold holy water is the answer. 😛
