I remember back in the 90s, I was working for an alarm company, and some redneck was laughing about how his son got in trouble at school for beating up f**s at school. Yeah, homophobia, or maybe we can just call it plain old hate, exists.

Just because crazy PC lefties exist on one side, it doesn’t mean I have tolerate the double speaking faciousts on the other.

Saying it doesn’t exist is just…blatant ignorance.

There is prejudice and hatred against the LGBT community. It’s just that SJWs are labeling people (who are not prejudiced against them) as homophobic because they don’t share the same views as them.

A distinction needs to be made here.
Plenty of openly proclaimed heterosexual inclinations everywhere. I’m not saying gay people have a sexual orientation that should rightly be proclaimed, but your statement above is simply false.
Exactly. Everywhere you go…sex is shoved down our throats regardless of sexual orientation. It is not exclusive to gay people, tbh.

Yeah. I have seen so many instances of homophobia. Even my dad told me that he would kick me out if I was gay. And I have heard similar experiences from my friends in the US, UK etc. It’s there!

Especially those who try to pass their hatred off as “Catholicism”. No wonder millennials are fleeing the Church. If I thought that that’s what Catholicism was about, I’d be long gone, too.

Maybe something was lost in the translation.
I found the complete original interview in Italian .
This interview is also tied to a book written by another person,Daniel Mattson, and referred to in the interview .
In case anyone wants to translate and read the complete interview .

Homosexuals specifically target the Catholic Church because she has never backed down on her teachings regarding sexual morality. T
This isn t even Catholic…
Read the original interview if possible because it has nothing to do with “bowels of hell” or whatever this " eruption ".
A person is a person.

I have, and it’s pure conspiracy theory drivel, tin-foil hat and all.

Little wonder that Pope Francis unceremoniously canned him. He’s giving the Church a bad name.

It isn t about Cardinal Muller ,for me…Nor I believe he was " canned" . Not what I believe matters really.
It is about the " person"
It has more to do with : identity.
Could you grasp that from the reasoning of the person who wrote the book? It took me more than one reading …What do you think?

I forgot to apologize for being such a … In one of the other threads.

People who don’t know much about religion want to rewrite it.
(Sigh)

He was though.

In an interview with German newspaper Passauer Neue Presse, the cardinal said that on the last working day of his five-year term as a prefect of the Congregation for the faith, Pope Francis informed him “within a minute” of the decision not to extend his mandate.
“He did not give a reason,” the 69-year-old cardinal said. “Just as he gave no reason for dismissing three highly competent members of the CDF a few months earlier.”

“The homosexual movement doesn’t have scientific arguments, so it’s constructed an ideology that wants to dominate, seeking to construct its own reality. It’s the Marxist scheme, according to which it’s not reality that builds thought, it’s thought that builds reality,
This is absolutely, without any question at all, the exact opposite of what Marx thought. I can’t believe anyone would say this.

Cardinal Muller isn t making this about himself.
And I honestly have no idea of whatever Detroit …
He is dealing with the term " homophobic" and he is also being asked about how a person dealt with the issue of his identity in a book.

Catholic is Catholic.
Why are you making this an American issue.?
At the very depth there is this question:
Who am I?
One that Pope Francis answered " I am a sinner whom the Lord has looked upon"

Why are you making this an American issue.?
Lived in Europe for fifteen years, including Germany, so I know both sides off the pond. Applies to either side.

As for the “identity” thing, that’s an old alt-right mantra: “We can’t hate Gay people because they don’t exist.”

There are no sides of a pond.
Our Church is one and universal…
You ve been to Mass then wherever, you know it is one.

Every man who openly calls a woman his wife or mistress and every woman who.openly calls a man her husband or lover flaunts their heterosexuality in the public arena.

Ever seen a heterosexual couple engaging in public.displays of affection? Ever seen a heterosexual couple getting married? - which is nothing if not a public declaration of their (hetero) sexual union, as the celebrant at Prince Harry’s wedding openly stated.

Please don’t say that heterosexuals aren’t flaunting it openly.
