I’m old enough to have seen what women will do to an organization they manage to force themselves into. They change it forever, and seldom [if ever] for the better, the PC pronouncements of management nothwithstanding.
I was in the military when they first started to push for admitance of more women. After that job, I went to work for the Navy as a civilian engineer when they pushed for, and got, women aboard ships at sea. In fact, the ship I worked on had the first; it was as though it were a test case. The first group had a lot of lesbians who ended up being court-martialed and kicked out of the service. About the same time, my office was being pressured into hiring women engineers.
I can say in all honesty that for the rare exception, they have all been disasters. The reason is that when a heretofore all-male organization admits women, one of the first things the women do is to start playing sex games. Where men commit sexual harasswment, women play “sex politics”, which should be just as illegal as sexual harassment, but is not. By sex politics I mean a woman using sex to get what she wants. She doesn’t necessarily have to “put out” but only encourage the fantasy.
It’s been asked, “If a woman can do the job, why shouldn’t she be allowed to?” “If” is the biggest word in the English language, and life is seldom that simple. One of the first things a woman will do is say, “You can’t expect me to do that!", where “that” is part of the job she was hired to do and the men actually do. Feeling sorry for a poor little woman, the boss [invariably a man wrapped around her little finger], takes “that” and dumps it on some poor schmuckatelli in the corner minding his own business just trying to do his job.
Come evaluation time and her performance is not up to par, she files a sex discrimination/harassment charge against her supervisor. Everything comes to a screeching halt while management caters to her every whim, hoping to dodge a similar false accusation. [The woman is never punished for filing false charges.] Meanwhile, the accused is shunned like he has some dreaded disease and made to announce, “Unclean! Unclean!”
A church is not exactly the same as a workplace. A man with a job and a family to support has to think twice before quitting the entire idiotic situation, whereas a church is a voluntary organization where people are free to leave for the slightest reason, or no reason at all. A priest looking out at his congregtion at mass sees mostly female faces. This has been used as a justification for women priests, but the contrary is the case. Women priests will drive even more men out, realizing part of the goal of NOW: to leave men without a role in society.
God invented the division of work along sexual lines, and he did it for a good reason, but liberals think they are smarter than He is.
