Define “hatefully.” If you refer to Fred Phelps and company, we would be in agreement.

But the problem is that some gays and lesbians seem to think any criticism of homosexual actions is hateful, and that’s not the case.
 
By hateful condemnation, I mean people chanting “god hates fags” or yelling at and chanting “repent” to homosexuals for example.

Hm…I agree that the Westboro diplomacy is not right, however the Church calls all to repentance, for all of our sins, homosexual activity is one of those.
 
I should probably keep quiet as I seem to be parrotting LRThunder’s views 😃

Do you really think you are going to convince commited Catholics that the Church has been wrong for 2,000 years based only on the fact you say so? One wonders who your are trying to convince that homosexual behavior is not immoral-CAF members or yourself? My guess is the latter
 
Do you even know why the Church has claimed homosexual acts as wrongful behavior? It’s not because of the views of the Apostles, or even Jewish law. It’s because of Plato - a pagan. We have proof that the early church not only blessed homosexual unions, but that some early leaders were homosexual themselves, openly and without fear.

Who coined the name “gay”? Are homosexual truly gay? What is the historicity of this particular name.

I refuse to use the term. it is a euphanism (like “choice”) that is used to minimize the behavior it describes.
