Very cool - showing that as long as there’s good men in the world, there’s always hope
It is my understanding that the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has no actual power, however, and exists as a prop for the CCP to use to deflect democratic criticism. Still, it’s very possible that something good might come out of this - it’s also my understanding the Holy Father has been making efforts to appeal to the PRC’s leadership.
