I have been inquiring and asking and observing for days now and have gotten nothing here but backlash and unhelpful remarks. When I came forward and said what I observed several times as a Catholic and asked why this seemed to exclusive to the Catholic church and how it was obvious Mary worship, I got nothing but sidestepping and finger pointing at me as if I had fabricated this and was on a mission to destroy Catholicism. There has been absolutely NO dialogue about it.

Because certain sects have an anti-catholic bias, which might motivate its members to display said bias, especially concerning ideas most strongly espoused by catholics. This partiality makes the reasoning of such biased arguments suspect.

One also has to look at his posts on another thread where he claimed to be a “devout” Catholic, but saw things that were Mary worship and Idolatry. He has never (after repeated requests) elaborated, or clarified what he saw, other than he saw it, and claimed it to be idolatry, etc.
It all goes to his credibilty as a poster.

Indeed. He may think that ever mentioning mary’s name, or any name in any context at church is identical worship and idolatry towards that person, or at least claim that any mention is automatically so, even if he doesn’t believe himself. He might be doing so, to discredit the catholic church, which would be important if his sect was blatantly anti-catholic.

The Bible clearly indicates not to 'worship idols, make graven images, or serve them (deut 5:6-10); this commandment is before 'Honor your Father and Mother; which isn’t to say that the chronoligical order has any signifigance But God did start here…
In Mathew 12:46-50 Jesus clearly indicates that His mother, brothers and sisters are everyone who does the will of the Father. He does NOT put His mother above anyone else but on the contrary equates her with all believers.
How do i defend ‘praying the Rosary’ or the ‘Hail Mary’? Isn’t Jesus our ONLY intersessor to the Father? (John 14:6)
Of Course, Mary was chosen by God to birth Jesus, is there any scripture to support that she is a ‘semi’ God. Why do we pray to her???

Mary is not a “semi” God. The word pray can mean to ask someone for something. In this case asking Mary to pray for us. Languages change over time. The expression “pray tell” used to be common, but you don’t hear it too much anymore.

And to defend you, and to bring you to Christ, etc. I don’t believe Catholics actually just pray to her for that. And she is not omnipresent. She cannot hear all of you, because she is not in the same place all the time. But I don’t believe she can hear you at all, but this will lead this thread off-topic totally.

As I interact with the different catholics, I find some very kind and loving toward non-catholic Christians. I find other anti-protestant and quite unkind. Knowing that they are all catholics don’t tell me which ones love with the love of the Lord and which are unkind bigots. It’s only in conversation that it becomes obvious. It’s not fair to judge anyone by what group they say they belong to.
