Remind your husband, but especially the children, that you are following the Church that Jesus founded, while the Baptist Church dates back to the 17th century. The witnesses of Christianity are on your side.
Depending on the ages of your children, they will most likely be in a Sunday School Class according to their ages. These classes center around Jesus, how he loves, us, and the Gospel narratives. If they are elementary age, their classes will stress salvation and baptism. They may have children’s church, too. Or would they be sitting with you husband in the church proper for the preaching service?
You should submit to your husband’s spiritual authority, this is true… BUT he has NO authority to ask you or your children to participate in worship services outside of the Catholic Church. Your duty to Christ and His Church trumps your duty to your husband.
It’s tough…I know… I’m a Catholic with a Protestant wife.
