Hope for humanity in a world consumed by so much sin?

Sometimes I just feel so sad when I think of the world and all the sin that is being committed. In what ways can I still find reason to hope for humanity and for a better future for humanity in light of all the sin?

By little random acts of kindness yourself. Small ripples. You can be the light, however tiny. Imagine if everyone just focussed on this.

This life is not our permanent home. We were created for Heaven, but must remain in this world until God calls us home. I know, it’s extremely difficult to look around at all the evil that’s happening in this world without getting discouraged, but we need to remember that God has a plan. We have to try to remember that He can turn every evil into good. Don’t give up hope!

“Romans 8: [16] For the Spirit himself giveth testimony to our spirit, that we are the sons of God. [17] And if sons, heirs also; heirs indeed of God, and joint heirs with Christ: yet so, if we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him. [18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come, that shall be revealed in us. [19] For the expectation of the creature waiteth for the revelation of the sons of God. [20] For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him that made it subject, in hope: [21] Because the creature also itself shall be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. [22] For we know that every creature groaneth and travaileth in pain, even till now. [23] And not only it, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption of the sons of God, the redemption of our body. Belief in Jesus and His sacrifice of Himself for us. He has already WON the battle, and it will be fully revealed when it is time for Him to do so. Meanwhile, consider that His apparent delay is due to his mercy, wanting as many people as possible to come to Him. Despite what we see all around us, God is fully in charge of everything happening. He is King. We don’t know how yet, but every tear will be wiped away. EVERY ONE.
Have hope. Pray for hope.
 
Ever since the fall, the world has been consumed by sin, and despite that, God has raised up great saints. Be not afraid.
 
Focus on God. He is in charge of all things and allows this evil so that He alone may bring good from it. He considers the world with infinitely more concern and compassion than we could ever muster.

Yet, you can offer your disappointment, sorrow, mourning, pain and anguish up for the conversion of sinners - right now!

In eternity, you will be shown what good you did.
 
Maybe a different perception. Be careful to only make objective judgments, value judgments.
Whether or not people are guilty of sin is a judgment only God can make and those He reveals the information to. On the cross Jesus said, " Father forgive them for they know not what they do".
 
Went to the mass where the small children are sent off by the celebrant to learn at their own level and then return for the proper of the mass. Saw a little girl of about six saying a rosary, two little boys about three looking at a picture book about Jesus, and older girl of about 10 or so telling her little brother about Jesus being in the bread at the consecration. And that was just today.
When I see parents bring their little ones to church and they enjoy the mass, and the coffee, juice, and donuts after mass as a family, I have hope for the future.
Life is a choice, you can look at the mud or look at the stars. There is good all around, though I have to agree with you, sometimes it is harder to see.
 
I agree totally. Especially in the Western nations, people are turning away from God and many churches are empty, some even unable to be self-sustainable and had to be sold. What we would considered as blasphemy and sacrilegious have become the norm for many people. They didn’t even see the fear of committing them anymore.

Not that we are extremely holy and religious but even in our weaknesses we can be the beacon of light for Jesus in the the darkness around us. We do not have to conform to the world.

Perhaps the situation signals that the end is near when the Gospel is proclaimed to the end of the earth, and we will be facing Judgement.
