There are still desecration videos on YouTube.

A certain YouTuber who calls himself Discipline01 has begun desecrating the Eucharist.

There’s still a lot of praying to be done.

This man has had the videos online for about a month. He just wants attention…pure and simple. That a grown man in his 30’s can be inspired by a teenager to do such things is pathetic.

Yes, prayers are indeed needed.

Peace.

What’s also rather pathetic is that a grown man of 30 would spend his free time making YouTube videos of him desecrating what he believes to be a cracker.

Do you think he’s possessed?

I don’t think he is possessed, more of a mixture of his own free will with some nudging from the evil one. If he were truly possessed he wouldn’t be able to handle “handling” the consecrated hosts. At least in most cases of genuine possession these are the symptoms.

Peace.

Honestly, I wonder if these blasphemers actually believe that the Eucharist may be the Body and Blood of Christ. It would oly make sense that they would, especially since they’re desecrating consecrated hosts. I hope and pray that these people all have conversion experiences, and are turned away and saved from their sins.

I think they do it, not because they believe, but for the shock value to those who do, otherwise they might as will be playing with a Ritz cracker. I wonder if they would be so bold as to desecrate a Koran?

Yes, it’s real. The desecrater is P.Z. Myers, a biology professor at some university in Mininesota. I won’t go into the details – it burns me too much – but if you do a search here at CAF you can find a number of threads on the subject.

P.Z. Myers is back at it, BTW, organizing a hate mail ebomb to the web site of Pharmacists for Life International. You can read the details here:

Prof Who Desecrated the Eucharist Now Leads Attack against Pro-Life Pharmacist

If I were PLI, I’d set up their mail servers to immediately reject any e-mail that might be a hate mail ebomb from P.Z. Myers. Who knows what such kooks such as him might do. They might put some kind of serious computer virus in the e-mail.

That said, P.Z. Myers really needs to get a life and definitely get some therapy. He obviously has some very serious mental health issues if he is so bothered by this that he has to continue his wicked ways.

Don’t expect them to ever desecrate a Koran. Why? Because then they might just be charged with a hate crime! You can get away with hate crimes against Christianity but not against Islam or other religions!

Isn’t that pathetic? 😦 It’s sad most of all.

We need to keep praying for all people who desecrate our Lord in this manner and in other ways also. :gopray:

If your aim is to prevent consecrated host disrespect, the worst thing to do is have threads like this or to have letter writing campaigns against youtube or its sponsors.

Some of the consecrated host disrespecters may be motivated by moral ideals (for ex. one person apparently was protesting the church’s position on condoms and its effect on AIDS; he used a condom IIRC in the video as part of his protest).

But I would bet that others are motivated for less than ideal reasons and that any increased publicity or rage or controversy their acts get would only motivate them and others like them to do more.

So the best thing to do from a strategic point of view is to just ignore all this. Pretend it never happens. Don’t make comments on youtube about it.

I would have to disagree. If you ignore sick behavior it doesn’t go away. It gets worse. That is exactly how we have ended up in a country were it is perfectly acceptable to kill children in the womb and starve the elderly and special need patients. You can’t stay quiet.

That was my point exactly. Catholics are the still acceptable targets of prejudice. We don’t seem to be covered by the blanket of “political correctness”. You can’t mock Muslims, Jews, people of color, homosexuals or pretty much anybody else but Christians, and particularly Catholics, are ok for people to vent their hostility upon.

Are you serious? The worst thing to do is to stay quiet about it. Catholics have stayed quiet for too long! Have you ever heard of a Muslim to stay quiet if they are insulted in any way? No! And because of their cries of being disrespected, more people are reluctant to attack them.

There is no way Catholics should stay quiet about what they believe. That is why we have more abortions in the US and worldwide; because we “stayed quiet.” Well that should stop! The “staying quiet” and the abortions and the desecration of Jesus in the Eucharist and many other abominable things.

Those of us who are staunch devout Catholics who know our faith, need to speak out more against the atrocities that are committed against us and against our Lord Jesus Christ and against the Virgin Mary, Mother of God. We weren’t put here on this earth to be “nice” to people who obviously show brazen disrespect for anything or anyone Catholic. Enough with the complacency we have for how people treat the Catholic Church. Enough with the bogus “tolerance” we should have for the actions of people who do not know the Catholic Church and treat her as a “whore.” Enough with all of that. Okay, I’m done. :coolinoff:
😛 I’m off to listen to some of my Father Corapi CDs. 😉 We also need to pray more :crossrc: and sleep is good too, especially if it’s 4:45 in the morning and it’s still “yesterday” for me but “today” for you. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i85/Alegre-Fe/Emoticons/yawnwave.gif

I’ve been told by another Catholic on YouTube that Discipline01 was suspended from YouTube but then reappeared with another account called Disciplinereturns. His advice is to not comment on his videos or profile but just to mark them down and flag them and block Disciplinereturns then never see him again.

Also, Joseph Shaw from The New Liturgical Movement has said he will no longer use YouTube for its failure to remove the desecration videos.

He said this:
That length of video can be uploaded to Google Videos but not to Youtube. I plan in future to use Google, partly for this reason but mainly because of Youtube’s refusal to remove videos of various desecrations of hosts stolen from Catholic churches. I hope other Catholic bloggers will do the same.
on the post More from the Cardinal Pole Requiem in Oxford.

Good for him but unfortunately I believe Google owns YouTube.

The second best thing to do is start an alternative to Youtube. There are already many alternatives out there started by different groups not always because of dissatisfaction with Youtube policy but for myriad different reasons. One I remember was started by conservatives upset over perceived Youtube censorship of certain videos about Islam. there’s also a Youtube alternative specifically for Christian or spiritual videos. So use or start an alternative. IMO, that is the second best thing to do. First best is to be tolerant of Youtube.
