It is good to see your opinion on this issue, as well (though it is little bit late, because you did not create this thread right after Jill Carrol was freed and she gave an forced “interview” to an Iraqi Moslem TV, in a decent Moslem dress, more like Saint Mary. (I am sure if Blessed Virgin Mary see Jill in that Moslem dress, she would be more happy than to see her in an unappropriate American dress, right?)
Probably you was either waiting to hear words from her like the ones she just uttered through her mouth piece of Christian Science Monitor or could not digest the good news of her release unharmed. Anyway, this shows your true intention.
Now be realistic and let’s analyze the issue with an open mind because never ever assume that every person in the world see any issue from your glasses.
As much as you have a right to have your opinion, others too, and no one is bound to see any issue through your perspective because you are no the only smart guy or human being with a brain in your head, in the world.
At the present Iraq is under American and her Coalition forces’ full military supervision/occupation. The situation is delicate and fragile because there is no proper law and order and Americans can behave whatever they like and kill anyone they like and no one will ask why they kill. No to mention what happened in the notorious Abu Ghurib Jail. What you learned is merely a tip of the burg, as media itself is telling. Coalition forces have no respect for Moslem’s holy shrines and their worshipping places. Atleast a hundred thousand innocent civilians have died. America is not even telling her own death toll to her people because the occupying forces are more interested in securing the oil fields and less in saving human lives. What they have done with their own forces in Vietnam before leaving/ending Vietnam is an another story.
Now, what descisive proof or substantial evidence you have in this chaotic situation of Iraq that Jill was indeed abducted by a Moslem militant group?
Any group of people can camouflage and give an impression that she was kidnapped by such and such Moslem group and can claim on that group’s behalf through mysterious sources.
Is it not possible that she might have been “kidnapped” by the American forces or Christian Science Monitor’s official in Iraq and kept her in their basement, to give a bad name to the Moslem freedom movements who are fighting to end the occupation of their country?
Now, let’s say she was indeed abducted by a Moslem group. In this case, what Islam has to do with that Moslem group? How do you know that that Moslem group is indeed Islamic?
An exemplery Moslem group will never kidnap any free civilian human being, no matter what unless if someone cheats during a war, such as Yvonne Ridley of U.K. who was captured in Afghanistan by the Taliban when America was dropping bombs on thier innocent poor civilians. Her capture was verifiable and Taliban officially confirmed her arrest. Did these Taliban threaten or misbehaved with Ms. Ridley during her captivity? What happened to her later when she was freed?
