So, based upon your exhaustive and objective research on the Beatles, what were they talking about?People think in that song that they’re talking about Mary. They aren’t, though.

These two points I agree with wholeheartedly, however… simply because Satin is lurking around in hopes of perverting whatever human undertaking happening to be in his path, does not mean that the undertakings itself is the root of the evil, nor that one cant appreciate the works in a prayerful and focused manner and have it be giving glory to God. If I’m at a youth conference and some kids sneak out back to smoke some dope… does it mean the conference was concieved in a Satanic manner? Or that the entire conference should be thrown out because Satan managed to pervert that part of it or those participants? I think not.2.-It’s not so much that I go “looking for evil”. You have to understand that evil is present lots of places. Just because the Devil is in Hell doesn’t mean he can’t spread his evil throughout many places of the world. He already has. God has let him do so because He gives everyone a free will. So God won’t necessarily prevent him from throwing evil messages into some songs.
3.-Rock and roll is the #1 type of music that contains Satanic messages. I’m not saying all rock songs do, but there are quite a few rock songs out there that do contain such messages. If you play Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” backwards, you can hear the lines “All hail Satan”. You may think that’s just a rumor too, but if you have that song see if you can find a way to play it backwards. **You can’t say Satan can’t possibly throw evil messages into songs when he already has. **Proof is all over the internet, look it up.
Missed a word!Ummm…if you look it up, it’s not about the church of Satan. Just because a few crazy people have come up with a theory doesn’t make it’s true. BTW The line you misquoted is actually “You can check OUT any time you want, but you can never leave”. According to the snopes.com link another poster offered, the song is about the hedonism and greed that were so prevelant in southern California in the early 70s. One of the Eagles, Don Henley, said of the song, it “sort of captured the zeitgeist of the time, which was a time of great excess in this country and in the music business in particular”.
I don’t know yet. I’m still trying to do more research on that. I think I actually read what they were talking about, but I forgot. I only remember that they were not talking about Mary, the Mother of God.So, based upon your exhaustive and objective research on the Beatles, what were they talking about?
Ah the internet is the new Bible, huh? Come again?Let me try to be as clear as possible on some of my points here.
1.-To say God listens to music by the Beatles I think would be an insult. **God is all knowing…and aware of the Beatles and their music…**The fact is, you KNOW the Beatles have hidden messages in their songs, whether it’s reffering to getting “high” in the song “A little help from my Friends” (which really isn’t a hidden message, it’s a message very easy to notice), or whatever else yet you continue to listen to their music anyway. **It has been awhile since I have heard a Beatles song…yeah, one can get high with a little help from friends. Not my thing…it’s a song.**You must understand that you can’t do something that could be sinful just because you don’t think it is. Do you think God would tell you something like this… “The Devil is in Hell, there’s no need to worry about him, he can’t do anything to you or anyone else on this earth as long as they have faith in Me, the Beatles are fine, listen to them as much as you want”. No. John Lennon himself admitted he was against Christianity. That video says so, and it’s not a rumor, Lennon publicly admitted it. How can you trust a band like that, a band that claimed their music was bigger than Jesus? You need to find better friends. You Tube is “fringe” at best.
2.-It’s not so much that I go “looking for evil”. You have to understand that evil is present lots of places. Just because the Devil is in Hell doesn’t mean he can’t spread his evil throughout many places of the world. **I’m sure evil is out and about…for me…I don’t give evil the time of day. Remember Lucifer is vain…loves press.**He already has. God has let him do so because He gives everyone a free will. So God won’t necessarily prevent him from throwing evil messages into some songs.
3.-Rock and roll is the #1 type of music that contains Satanic messages. **Says “you”.**I’m not saying all rock songs do, but there are quite a few rock songs out there that do contain such messages. If you play Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” backwards, you can hear the lines “All hail Satan”. **Stairway to Heaven is in my top 3 favorite songs…I don’t play records backwards…sounds really stupid.**You may think that’s just a rumor too, but if you have that song see if you can find a way to play it backwards.Again, why would I want to ruin a classic original album by doing something stupid like that. I have the original Led Zeppelin IV,…which Stairway to Heaven is on it. You can’t say Satan can’t possibly throw evil messages into songs when he already has. Proof is all over the internet, look it up.
Ah the internet is the new Bible, huh? Come again? The internet is a vast wasteland of popular and unpopular information. I think you need to grow-up a bit and experience the “real world” and decide for yourself. It is threads like this that take folks down the wrong path…by scaring them. No one is perfect…the human factor prevents that.

Stairway To Heaven lasts for about 8 minutes; why would anyone waste their time listening to it backwards to hear “all hail satan?” It sounds much better going forward than backward. And to not want to “ruin” your Led Zeppelin album or whatever seems selfish to me. I really expected better from someone who is Catholic than to not care that they may be listening to music that contains evil messages. But whatever, I can’t convince you apparently.
I doubt you’d have to play backwards that far into the song to hear it.Stairway To Heaven lasts for about 8 minutes; why would anyone waste their time listening to it backwards to hear “all hail satan?” It sounds much better going forward than backward.
In any event, I always thought that Jazz was supposed to be the “devil’s music;” did he give it up when rock started???
may be…you said it yourself.I never said the internet was the new Bible. You did state that is your source for information.

You have no control over me or what my value system is as a Catholic because I do not share your paranoia.
But we should be concerned about what we could be listening to. You can’t do something that could be wrong just because you don’t think it’s wrong. The fact that I could be (and most likely would be if I did listen) listening to music with evil messages contained in it creeps me out to the point where I don’t even want to hear one word of the song. You don’t seem to care. I never said I have any controll over you, but I am trying to warn you about the music you are listening to without care. It just seems you’d rather get enjoyment out of listening to music even if it could be bad than playing it safe and avoiding it.may be…you said it yourself.

Looks like another “crystal ball” moment. You “know” that evil likes to mix things up a little.I doubt you’d have to play backwards that far into the song to hear it. So you doubtone wouldn’t have to play it backwards…that far into the song
And Satan will like to mix things up a little. Today though, I’d say rock is the most likely to have evil messages.
I never said rock was the only type of music that could be evil. And please stop bringing up the “crystal ball”. Crystal balls are also associated with evil.Looks like another “crystal ball” moment. You “know” that evil likes to mix things up a little.
Rock is “most” likely to have evil messages. Interesting…Hotel California is evil…but rap songs about the demoralization of women and killing is ok. Country music,…about cheating…drinking and raising hell…is not evil. I am at a loss…truly…![]()
All right, that’s just silly. “Crystal ball” is a phrase that has long entered the English lexicon with no “evil” connotations. You’re getting close to being like the Jack Chick devotees who claim that IHS stands for Isis-Horus-Set, when it clearly does not.I never said rock was the only type of music that could be evil. thanks Lujack. Sanity prevails. This young person needs to get to his/her parish priest as soon as possible and discuss these issues. Paranoia reigns supreme. Now if I were a betting gal…wouldn’t that be in the top 10 of what evil likes to perpetuate among people? Paranoia is more than likely the top 3. I don’t a crystal ball to tell me that. All right, that’s just silly. “Crystal ball” is a phrase that has long entered the English lexicon with no “evil” connotations. Confusion is something else that you may want to put in your top 3, and you clearly are confused. You refuse to consider the strong possibility that the music you are listening to is evil and instead continue to listen to it so you can get your enjoyment. I really expected better of a Catholic than to not care about what kind of music they’re listening to. Music like that doesn’t praise God. Music that praises God is music you hear at a Catholic Church, which is the only type of music you’ll find God listening to. This isn’t about any problems I have. You keep bringing that up to dismiss anything about you and what music you listen to. I’m beginning to wonder if you would keep listening to that music even if the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, or some other band you listen to came out and admitted their songs contained evil messages. You seem to need 100% proof right in front of your face that the music you’re listening to is wrong before you accept that. That’s not how things work. I think you need to talk to a priest yourself about the music you listen to and see what he says. I’m finished arguing with someone who just doesn’t seem to get what I’m saying.thanks Lujack. Unfortunately, the problem is that those who have been posting here DO get what you’re saying. They just don’t accept your unsupported premises. Unfortunately those caught up in conspiracy theories, in general, are the ones least able to see how caught up they are and how irrational those theories are.I’m finished arguing with someone who just doesn’t seem to get what I’m saying.
