The prayer organizer explains, “A public satanic mass brings a big curse upon the city…

So far two Houston-area parishes, Blessed Sacrament and Annunciation will be having Holy Hours of Reparation 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Sunday for the duration of the black mass.

The “Encyclopedia Britannica describes a black mass as ‘a blasphemous and usually obscene burlesque of the true mass performed by satanic cults. The naked back of a woman often serves as an altar and a validly consecrated host is generally used to intensify the mockery.’”

Houstonian here. It’s sort of hard to tell where Brash Brewing ends and the satanic temple begins. They’re pretty much always joined up together for something. A friend was suggesting we call them, but I don’t see what good that would do.

I had a college class with someone who said he was a Satanist. He Was never happy. How could you be when you’re a Satanist? I learned, that it’s impossible to make friends with Satanists, Because they don’t want friends. They are very sad people. These people need our prayers.

And they can’t see the irony in what they’re doing? I guess they’re fundraising for animals- they’re giving the outward appearance of caring for creation while blaspheming our Creator.

The lot that hangs out at that brewing company seem perfectly sociable with eachother. They wouldn’t want to be friends with us, it would ruin how much they love antagonizing Christians, but I think they do want friends.

What I don’t get is why it is being called a public ritual if only 50 people who paid for a six hundred and sixty six dollar ticket can actually attend.

I guess something must have turned him off about the huge Benedictine crucifix I was wearing in addition to a Miraculous Medal. Wondering how he would feel now, about my extremely large Our Lady of Guadalupe medal.

While I am not a fan of joking around about “Black Masses” and will be saying some prayers regarding this in a minute, it’s pretty clear that this is not a serious “Black Mass”.

It appears to be someone putting on a stunt to get attention for their brewery/ new beer release, and to raise money for a dog rescue.

It’s in bad taste and also people should not play around with Satanic things, but I doubt any desecration will take place.

Look at the advert for it. It’s advertising the release of a new brand of beer, and benefiting two dog rescues. The last purported “Black Mass” that got this much publicity was also collecting socks for the homeless.

Most stuff publicly purporting to come from the “Satanic Temple” is designed to get attention in Bible belt land.

The real and scarier Black Masses are the ones that aren’t advertising themselves. The ones done by actual worshippers of the demonic for purposes of calling up the demonic, not for getting hipsters to try a new brand of stout.

They’re no ones on Twitter, it would be best to avoid that type of material and sharing it with others.

Any mockery is wrong as you tis
Bear mentioned. OK no desire to encourage twitter but also hate crimes encouraged is unlawful.

Bringing it up isn’t going to do anything.

Jake Moore doesn’t do his credibility any favors when he writes that “tickets are 666 dollars” and then you click the link and see a flyer clearly stating that the tickets are 25 bucks.

@Tis_Bearself Someone asked me to find out more about this thing but thanks to you I began to wonder what you meant. Totally ignorant about brewery places. So do you think it was sponsored by the Sa- tm (don’t like writing that name) temple or it was some hoax?
