How are angels differentiated, since they don't occupy space?

No problem, you are one of the very few persons on CAF I have met who knows his limits…so I am very glad to offer the small tidbits I have found a little farther up the road from you.

I still find Aquinas hard to understand even though I have learnt his system of philosophic tools (ie no longer a completely foreign language).
We are all students.
