The Church has spoken about gender roles. I lived through the Women’s Liberation Movement.

Yeah, it was hell, wasn’t it. You can’t tell kids these days. They just wouldn’t understand what we had to go through. I had a lot of good friends who…well, lest just say that they are not the same people any more.

But actually, Ed, you have the tense wrong. It’s still ongoing. And for very many good reasons. One being that is STILL seems acceptable to some men to grope women. And gee, one of those guys is trying for a place in your government, isn’t he?

There’s still a long way to go, buddy. Still a very long way.
