When it comes to mortal sin there is no “might.” You can’t accidentally throw away your salvation. If you’re in genuine doubt, there is no mortal sin and there may not even be a sin at all.worried that it might be a mortal sin not to actively oppose it.
If you find this happens to you frequently—I’m not sure if I committed a mortal sin by doing/not doing X—you may be scrupulous. If so, welcome to a club that includes St. Thérèse of Lisieux, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Alphonsus di Ligouri, and even (according to Ven. Mary of Agreda) the Blessed Virgin!
If that sounds like you, try to find a good confessor who is experienced in dealing with scrupulosity. Also check out https://scrupulousanonymous.org/ which is a ministry specifically dedicated to dealing with this issue.
Now as to the merits of your question. You are in doubt and therefore under no clear obligation to do anything except avoid, if at all possible, promoting or participating in any way. How do you best help the situation? There is no point to starting an argument with people who don’t care to listen (and maybe get fired on the way). So how do you find out who, if anyone, will listen? Try this: consecrate yourself to Mary, wear a Miraculous Medal, and let Her do the deciding about who will listen. As you probably know, She seldom spoke unless asked something, and whatever She said was purely for the benefit of others. So imitate Her. Conduct yourself with kindness and respect for everyone. If someone is supposed to engage you, they will see the Medal and say something. Otherwise, pray for them and don’t worry about it any more.
