How big a family did you come from?

I voted only child, but my dad had two sons from a previous marriage. I was 2 or 3 when the younger one moved out of our home. We are estranged at this point in our lives per their wishes. My mom wanted at least 6 children. My parents did the infertiltiy treatments available in the late 60s just ot have one child. My dad even had a vasovasostomy (vasectomy reversal) in the mid 60s). I remember praying for siblings.

It’s particulary hard when I have a baby. I would just love to have a sister to come over and help me out!

It is difficult not that my parents are both gone. I do have cousins I am pretty close to emotionally, but they live in other states.

I was the fifth of 5…by 16 years. My brothers and sisters are all 38-44 years old. I was that little present the stork dropped off just around the time my dad was retiring from the military…this year I dropped him a Father’s Day gift that told him now, at 69 years old, he’s finally got no kids in the house!
 
Oldest of 8.

I was just 2 yrs. 11 months old (to the day) when my mother delivered her 5th baby!
I was the first, born in March.
She then had twins in December of the same year. 😃
Then another 13 months later,
And then the 5th baby just 11 months later.

She then had 3 more but they were spaced a couple years apart each. Whew!
Just 9 yrs. 11 months between the 1st and the 8th. 👍
 
i come from a family of 6 and my mom comes from a family of 17 and my dad comes from a family of 8.i have 116 first cousins and we have the best family parties in the world. i love it!!! 😃 👍
 
For me, I was one girl with 3 brothers; 1 older, 2 younger. I was not spoiled a bit, yeah right! I only have 1 child, lost 3 to God. My husband is the oldest of 5, 2 boys, 3 girls. By the way, I had a
grandmother that was 1 of 21, 1 Father, 3 different Mothers ( I don’t see how he did it!) We didn’t have those “enhancement” drugs back then. I guess some have it, some don’t.

Independent, Responsible, likes attention… cuz…

…parents tend to focus more on the oldest and youngest…

middles learn from older sibs and teach younger sibs … (i.e. they are street smart)

(no books, just life experience tells me so… whattya think?)
