As for Sanger - she addressed the women’s wing of the KKK. (From her biography I believe ).
Other than one being a white supremacist there really isn’t any reason one might want to address or associate in any way with the Klan.
Sanger once addressed female KKK members in a bid to have her message heard as widely as possible, but she both openly described that meeting and disparaged the group’s mission in her writings, and a photograph supposedly depicting that talk (or a similar one) is fabricated.

I’m no fan of Margaret Sanger who was a supporter of eugenics. But I’m not convinced that she was a racist.
