Hi again,

I was curious to how close you are to your GA? what I mean is do you talk to your Angel all the time or do you only see your GA when they are helping you…ect?

For me I talk to my GA every single day. He is with me all the time. I sometimes dream about him. He is so sweet and a best friend to me. 🙂

My goodness yes!🙂 When I drive I ask my guardian angel to keep me alert (and I ask the guardian angels of the other drivers to keep them alert- I do this at airports too)

My Angel seems to really protect me. What I need to learn is to thank him everyday for all the protections done that I am not aware of.

Not at all. I don’t think I’ve ever really prayed to him for anything. And I’ve heard of saints seeing their guardian angels, but I’ve never seen mine.

I love my Guardian Angel (my brother) dearly. Whenever I pray, I visualize him… praying along side of me. At night, before I go to sleep… I like to visualize him hovering over me… with his wings outstretched… shielding me from harm (just as St. Gemma’s Guardian Angel did!); Whenever I need physical assistance… for example… with lifting my mothers heavy transport chair out of the car… I ask my Guardian Angel (AND my mothers!) for help.

And I try very hard… to listen to his voice, inside of me… whenever I need correction. I know he loves me… and is working very hard to help me gain Salvation. That is what our wonderful Guardian Angels do!

The Guardian Angels (and all Angels) are so wonderful! I praise and give glory to God for their creation… and their presence in our lives! :angel1:

It is for sure that my Guardian Angel is closer to me than I am to my Guardian Angel. For me, I do pray and ask my Guardian Angel when I am waking up in the morning, driving on the road, before going to bed time, and asking for the reminder of praying the Divine Mercy at 3:00pm.

Not very, although I have a very vivid image of my Guardian from a number of years back when, I swear, I “saw” her in my mind’s eye when contemplating the matter in church one day. No, more than my mind’s eye, just really there up by the altar. I am not a person who is ever very successful “seeing” things; I’m much more verbal than I am visual. (When anyone starts with the “imagine you are on a beach,” I just zone out and nothing happens . . . ) And yet, there was a lovely, strong personage with large wings folded (not outstretched), probably about 6-foot tall; the best description would be of someone like a traditional Teutonic/Germanic female warrior – think of a character in Beowulf. Holding a staff, or a sword, or something. Long hair, pulled back.

An amazing image for which I have no other explanation than that it was what I thought it was at the time. My Guardian Angel. Rebecca (no, I have no explanation as to why I knew that was the name . . . )

Again, I don’t feel particularly close to my Guardian; but that’s my story. Perhaps someday we will be close.

I love my guardian angel as well. He has been there with me through everything. He knows everything about me. My GA appears to me with no wings. In fact I could discribe his looks completely. Let me just say this, he is so kind and loving to me than any man has ever been in my life. He is awsome and I thank Jesus for him every day!!!🙂

I guess it’s not a matter of how close I feel to my Guardian Angel - but knowing how close this Heavenly Creature is to me daily - while I forget to think of this Angel. God has assigned this Angel from Heaven - to me, of all people. One has to think - what a marvelous thing…After all, God sees everything and doesn’t need help! Yet, His Love - entrusts us to a specially-designated Heavenly Being.

I will say I used to talk to my Guardian Angel - even naming the Angel (I don’t know if I should say “him, her or it” and mean no disrespect.) But I read recently here that we shouldn’t name them - I don’t know why. So, I guess we just have to remember that childhood prayer:
Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God’s love entrusts me here. Ever this day, be at my side to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
Dear Holy Guardian Angel: Personally, allow me to thank you publicly for all you do for me that I don’t see, recognize or acknowledge.

yea things can get pretty brisky between Buckeye and I. We used to Kick Box eachother but I got a bloody nose and he lost a tooth. Ever since then I have had to slowly pay for his nasty tooth that still is not quite healed. He was nice enough to bring an Eye patch with a cross on it from Heaven.

Things get toasty but I think that doesnt mean we dont get along well. whatever

I tell ya me and old buck have memories.

Back in our years a whille ago when we werent very smart and young and foolish, We robbed a bank.

This is the layout.

The main bank room ( small town ) was 24x24 feet.

Directly when you walked in we code-named the “black top”
you could see the vault Directly ahead. To the left corner closest to use was a waiting bench verticaly against the west wall.

The north wall is the vault wall. Thats north.

The east wall was a bunch of desks and the south wall was just a bunch of windows.

SO bucky has an ,Australlian gun, the L85. With a sound supressor, and a couple cheese grenades.

Cheese Grenades = grenades filled with cheese, when pin pulled and grenade hits object, there is an immediate explosion of cheese that can peirce anything. Even the vault door.

I had 10 bottles of AXE deodorent and a dart gun. The dart guns you blow through and a poisonous dart comes out.

The Vault was codenamed the closet
The desks to the west wall were the Jungle
The seating area was called simply, the seating area.
The gaurds were called the Janitors

Bucky would go to the black-top then clear out the jungle of Janitors and throw a CG ( cheese grenade ) at the vault door peirceing it and getting cheese over our precous bejarmins but at least money is wash-able.

Then I would clear out the seating area of any straglers with my blow dart gun.

After we did all that I sprayed AXE every were so they wouldnt pick up the cheesey smell. We got on a horse and wagon and the cops just laughed at us. They got a spike strip but we ran over it as we had horses, we realized the situation was hopeless so we put on so much AXE that the copes got high when they arested us and cheesed all the money to smitherines with the CG’s and we made a run for it. Since then and 2 confessions later we have never been so closer nor so holier than now.

How do we know that guardian angels even exist? I want to believe I have a guardian angel since the idea is nice but am not sure since it seems like a nice kids story. I know that my guardian angel probably does not like my lack of faith in this regard but I just worry that if guardian angels do not exist then the prayer is wasted. There are times that I definitely believe I had my guardian angel with me such as a time when I was lost for a few days in the mountains trying to find my way back to the city but even so, I just do not have the same faith in guardian angels that I do in God.

well. it says your catholic. But someone here will quote catechism for ya 👍

I found it for myself and I will analyze it to see whether I can still have uncertainty.

336 From infancy to death human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession.[202] “Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.”[203] Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.

The only problem I have with this is it states only believers get guardian angels. What about the people who are not believers. Shouldn’t they be given guardian angels as well in order to hopefully guide them towards one day becoming a believer? But I am thankful I have a guardian angel and I hope I am misinterpreting this passage since I would think everyone would have a guardian angel.

The quote footnoted as #203 is from St. Basil and simply affirms the belief in guardian angels for all believers. It is clear, however, that the previous sentence of the Catechism, refers to all human life, not just the life of Christian believers. If you read section 322 of the Catechism you see that angels have been at work guarding and guiding since creation - all in service to God’s providential Plan of Salvation.

Well I assume you mean 332 and I never doubted whether angels exist. I just question whether there is really a personal angel created for each person so there would be as many angels as people ever born. I never bothered to look for the relevant passage in the catechism before. For purposes of this discussion, I’m content believing that we each can rely on angels to help us.

I have always relied on my Angel to watch over me and I have felt his presence in the past.
His hand pulled me away from danger and I will never ever forget it!!!
Have said the Guardian Angel prayer every day since I was a very small child.

I can’t say I’ve ever felt my Guardian Angel has helped me. If it weren’t for the fact that it’s a Church teaching, I would just assume I don’t even have one. I’m not close to mine at all.

You would be if you were pulled from danger, and I know it had to be my angel. I actually felt myself pulled back and stopped and could not move forward. If I had continued on the run I was doing, I would have probably been just another dead female found out in the middle of nowhere.

Not really close. I pray to my GA sometimes, ask for protection, but I also pray to St. Michael for the same thing. I pray to my kids’ and hubby’s GAs and St. Michael asking for their protection as well sometimes. Other than asking for protection and help sometimes, I don’t really think about my GA much. I used to pray to all the GAs for my family and myself every day, but have gotten out of the habit and do so only occasionally now.
