How did you react when same sex marriage became legal?

Homosexuals are part of God’s creation, and therefore homosexuals are created by God.

God loves his creation, so therefore God loves homosexuals.

Does everybody agree with this?

God loves persons with same sex attraction, He loves persons above all his earthly creations. He created man and said this is very good.
He does not love our sins. He hates our sins because He loves us. All sin, particularly the misuse of sex causes grave damage to the person and to his society.

The proper use of sex is very specific, because sex is very important. I would guess that very few persons these days are able to keep their sexuality in the context for which it is designed.

This thread is very secular. It forgets that we are a fallen people. It forgets that there is an evil one who wants us to suffer and who will attack what is very good. It forgets that God has given us free will to obey (or not to obey) his laws.

The point is that we must try to keep sex holy even if it means that we must personally forgo having sex, (a heroic practice). Our sexual preferences have little with the true purpose of sex.

To answer to original question, I was saddened that our society has forgotten how to truly love his fellow man. Love does not accept that which would harm the beloved.

You have no idea what differences it would take, biologically, to influence sexual attraction, or what drivers of those differences might be required. Don’t assume it is something grand.

The point is that our powers of observation in this space are exceeding limited. How little the brain is understood!

This is simply a word game, and I detest word games in debates!

The human species is heterosexual, and by and large, each member is either male or female.

In our usual sloppy evolution of language, we choose to apply the term heterosexual also to a single member of the species whose behaviour aligns with the norm, necessitating a similar word for members whose behaviour does not.

Playing with the nuanced meaning for the same word is unhelpful.

This is why I challenge anyone who claims that homosexuality is normal…and why we should challenge any teacher who allows homosexuality to be legitimized to our children. Indeed we must actively discourage them from viewing homosexuality as safe and normal, when in fact it is demonstrably neither safe nor normal.

True, the State is not a moral guide. And yet in some respects it is. Many people take it for granted that if something is legal, it must be okay. The law is a teacher. Sometimes it teaches wrongly. It has taught us that divorce is okay, but it is not. It has taught us that premarital sex is fine, but it is not.

From organizations, celebrities, popular media and teachers who promote homosexuality as a normal, acceptable, wholesome and healthy relationship.

NO!

It may be well documented that pedophiles come from all groups but pedophilia has very deep roots within the gay community.

It is interesting to note that it is well documented that Harry Hay, founder of the LGBT rights movement, was an admitted pedophile and supported the inclusion of North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), in gay-pride events.

Also it is well documented that Hubert Kennedy, a former president of New York’s Gay Activists Alliance was a founding member of NAMBLA.
