How do I know how much to pray?

I don’t know. But i read of someone who had a friend who prayed several times a day for an intention, like hourly or so as long as she remembered. She was so sure that she would receive it. The most I have done is the 9 hour Infant Jesus novena. The same time every hour. Difficult, because I woould forget some hours to pray at the same time. But it doesnt have to be that novena, you can just pray in your own words perseveringly.
