How do men participate in NFP?

Not to be improper, but he also enjoys adding in the “I” markers in the morning. Sometimes he puts in little hearts, which I think is cute.

Oh, I bet my DH would love putting the “I” markers as well

Last night he asked me what people here are saying about this topic and I shared what I’ve learned. I jokingly asked him if he wants to put stickers on the chart and he said sure.

We took the classes (Creighton) together, and then I told him when I was adding in temping and opks (when I did that) a few years later. He’ll ask where I am in the cycle (he knows phase 2 is fertile, and we have to wait 3 days past the temp rise). I know when we were engaged and looking into methods, we met a STM/CCL couple who said the husband would hand the wife the thermometer each morning, and after taking her temp, she’d give it back and he’d record it. That seems like a lot of work to me, to keep him “involved”. It’s all my “stuff” (his “stuff” is always fertile!), I just tell him when it’s fertile. I don’t necessarily tell him “no” (to sex), cause at this point I don’t care if we get pregnant again, but he doesn’t want to, so he’s the “gatekeeper” in that sense now.

Mine doesn’t, but has giggled like a 12 year old when he noticed the check marks in the “coitus record” box :blushing:

That seems like a lot of work to me, to keep him “involved”. It’s all my “stuff” (his “stuff” is always fertile!), I just tell him when it’s fertile. I don’t necessarily tell him “no” (to sex), cause at this point I don’t care if we get pregnant again, but he doesn’t want to, so he’s the “gatekeeper” in that sense now.

I cant imagine not being 100% interested in my future wife’s nfp charting!

I’d want to get involved so that i’d know how much longer i had to wait…not that i plan to be clock watching…too much… haha.

I dont care how horrible ‘mucus’ sounds, arent husband and wife supposed to share everything? It’s her body! There’s nothing anybody can do, it’s all about being human…so there’s nothing embarrasing about it between a husband and wife. I’m sure there’s gross things us guys have and do that women could do without too!

I think i’d love to be the “sticker master” cause lets face it, i’d be counting anyway! And you could tell me about all sorts of grim details, but it still wouldnt stop my tongue from hanging out like an eager puppy when i’m in the mood!!

So i think it’s good for husbands to get involved…after all, theyre half the marriage, and doing half of the abstaining!!

You sound like a lovely guy and I’m sure you will find the right girl with whom you can grow in holiness and raise saints.
