So when you are say, praying to Mary, she is gathered with you? I always thought of it more as a party line (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_line_(telephony) than a gathering.

Jesus is not alone. He is always with Mary in heaven. She is never apart from him. Think about the implications of that.

If the church you’re joining doesn’t have a pedigree that goes back to Christ, then it hasn’t received the inheritance that the Apostles passed down - the fullness of the Christian faith.
It may have stolen bits and pieces of it here and there, but it doesn’t have the authority to teach, nor (most likely) at least half the pieces that you need, to make sense of what they do have.

No, not at all. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, all of the Saints and Angels come with Him.
Why are you looking for the minimum possible requirement? Your prayers to him are “sufficient” of course, but He Himself has also commanded us to love one another as He has loved us - and surely the Saints are among those whom we are required to love?

You know, I am in a funny spot in life. I work for my dad. There are other people who work for him as well, but I hold a special place, because I am his son. Now, he comes to me for my area of expertise and I go to him for his. But I have noticed, when the staff wants someone on their side, they come to me. When the staff has some bad news, they come to me. WHen they need something, they come to me. They will plead their case and I tell them, “I think so-and-so is a good idea” or “I think so-and-so is horrible” but no matter what I share it with my father. I also share the other things. The things they don’t want to bother him with, like Ms. Jeanie had to take her sister to the hospital. It wasn’t until this exact moment of intercession that I appreciated the irony of it all.No, not at all. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, all of the Saints and Angels come with Him.
(just thought I would share… maybe you will understand why it is ironic).
Well, since I don’t know Moses from Moses, while I have a great admiration for his faith, I can’t say I go out of my way to “show him love.” I can easily show love for those within my realm.

God understands this about us; that’s why He gave us the Saints.

But if you are ever tasked with bringing some new rules and regulations that happen to be printed on stone tablets, down from your Dad’s office, only to find the staff drinking and carousing and bowing down to a golden calf, you’ll know exactly who can sympathize with you and plead your case with God the Father.

If i may also add…
Christ ascended into heaven in the flesh so He is in heaven completely…With the Eucharist one recieves all of Christ dwelling within themsleves…Why settle for less then the full truth?

Well, ascended with a resurrected body, but hey, you can count on your hands how many of those occurred and all but one got to die again. .

they follow a false prophet. proven to be a fraud by Gods word. We follow the Bible, any list that puts us in the same category is not credible.Again, the fact that I do not consider them to be Christians is irrelevant. They’ve read the Bible and have come up with their doctrines regarding Jesus; they are an organized aggregate of worship centers or congregations of similar ecclesiastical tradition and thus have a rightful place in that obscene 40,000 list.
Heck, even their name has Jesus in it!
