People get possessed when they become fascinated with evil.
I don’t recommend it.

I think there is a healthy fear of such things. When this fear is diluted, like flirting with vampires, questionable “games” that cross the boundary between just entertaining and the occult, Ouija boards that invites spirits, substance abuse, etc., then the path is easier to trod, but no less dangerous.
Sometimes behavior as in what is termed “personality disordered” seems to come out of a script book. Online support groups give this astonishing corroboration that they do behave alike with even the same vocabulary. I don’t know where it originally came from but one of my close relatives had an uncontrollable filth mouth. I spoke to a savvy woman at a church 22 years ago about this subject and she said that possession can come from acts of immorality. There may have been incest in this case. An overwhelming sense of shame distorts the personality from childhood up and worse when repressed.
But that alone doesn’t make for possession. A person can have a trauma and try to overcome it. In this case and still is, behavior is revealing, an absolute urge for meanness, greedy and destructive in relationships. It’s funny with all the gender benders going around, she said that she identified as a “man”, but one would never know it when she was in the “wounded bird” mode, trying to get attention and pity for herself.
Another person who also had an uncontrollable mouth actually said, he was not “in control”! Well, if he isn’t, then WHO is? Also he had an impulse to talk constantly about his sexual exploits. I said this person should not be around young people as he is a teacher and if he is not openly destructive, he doesn’t do any good either. “By their fruits you shall know them”, really applies here.
How to avoid such people and I think we should, is a problem since they do come across as being charming and seductive at first. They are masters of confidence trickery.
One film that really drove this home was “Dear Zachary”. The woman who killed this 28 year old doctor was pregnant with their son. Somehow she slipped through the Canadian legal net, and eventually committed suicide with the year old kid strapped to her. The unfortunates in the story were the parents of Zachary who followed her to Canada to take care of the grandchild, while suppressing their rage against the person who they knew killed their son.
Such a woman can go through society and not be detected for the devil that she was. The parents also wrote a book about having to deal with such an evil person. One trait that emerged from the film was her emotional flatness. She kept saying, “mummy loves you”, but the kid didn’t really believe it and preferred his grandparents. This probably angered her the most.
God save us from such evil!!!
