How do you feel about atheists?

Now that’s original, comparing the God of Jews and Christians to Thor, or to the Easter Bunny. You’ve said nothing that veteran members here haven’t heard a thousand times before, with the circular arguments, the sophistry. the insulting comparisons, and the childish refusal to capitalize the name of God. I can only conclude that your sole purpose here is to be a provocateur. The bottom line is, (once again) you either believe in God, you don’t or you’re not sure.
I will pray for the Holy Spirit to work in your heart. 🙂
Actually I was not, I was pointing out that if you consider that proof you have no understanding of epistemology, I did explain that in the very next line…

“Sorry but through no understanding of epistemology can you meet the burden of proof through unfounded assertions.”

You pray for me, I will think for you :).

How rude!!!

How rude!!!
And you don’t think I consider it rude when you tell me I need prayed for!!! How hypocritical!!!

Honestly step outside your box for a second and understand the we do not all see things the same way…

All people need to be prayed for. No one needs you to think for them. 😛

Back to the OP: God by definition is pure spirit , and “atheists” are purely materialistic. “Atheism” depends on accepting one of two absurd propositions: that the universe came into existence either by physical necessity, or by chance. The former is prima facie absurd, and the latter is mathematically absurd. The only plausible explanation is a transcendent creator who is of necessity outside of time and place. Until “atheists” understand and accept the logical necessity of a creator, there really is no reasoning with them.

I would argue it is the other way about, all people need to think critically and no one needs to be prayed for. So we could compromise and not offer to pray, or think, for each other 🙂

No it does not, atheism is simply is single position regarding a single claim it says NOTHING about the origins of the universe which is any understanding of the word, unknown.

One can do both, pray and think critically. They are not mutually exclusive.

But that is not what you said. You said you would think for another person. You didn’t say they should think for themselves.

Well, actually, you can’t think for us. But we can and will pray for you and you conversion of heart. Everybody that reads this, pray for Mr. Empiricism!

Yes one can pray and think critically, but they can not do both at the same time.

Sure send me the x-rays, then the methodology you used to exclude the variables and calculate the probabilities. In fact why even send it to me? Why not publish it, prove the existence of god, and collect your Nobel Prize. You will literally be the most famous person that has ever lived! 👍
Please pm me your address and I will send you copies of the x-rays.

Please outline for me the methodology you are asking for and I will include that as well.

I would love to publish it! What Journal do you recommend? I don’t know that it would prove the existence of God - do you think that it would?

Collecting a Nobel Prize? Thanks for the vote of confidence!!

Yes please do, we will put god to the test here and see if it can convert me. Now that WOULD be evidence.

Well if you do not already have the methodology in place how did you calculated the probabilities and reach your conclusion?
