I’m beginning to think you are a troll.
How on earth can you possible say that, go and re-read the posts. It was me that was the subjected to condescending posts, I simply replied in the same light. I guess you all just don’t understand how offensive some of your statements are, which is ironic given the thread we are on…

Do you hate us, do you pity us, do you pray for us, etc!

And you don’t think I consider it rude when you tell me I need prayed for!!! How hypocritical!!!

Honestly step outside your box for a second and understand the we do not all see things the same way…
What did you expect on a Catholic forum (that you willingly joined), i.e., did you think we’re weren’t going to pray for you?

p.s. You’re replies are little too snarky for my liking.

I tend to get snarky when I am patronised, especially when the people who are doing so have no right to. I expected to discuss reasons for belief, which is a subject I have the upmost interest in.

Actually I was not, I was pointing out that if you consider that proof you have no understanding of epistemology, I did explain tihat in the very next line…-
“Sorry but through no understanding of epistemology can you meet the burden of proof through unfounded assertions.”

Well, if you find prayer offensive then you’ll never be able to have a conversation with a person of faith. Saying we’ll pray for you means we recognize the inherent dignity that you possess. Hate and prayer for you don’t go together. Hate and praying for oneself to have a loving heart, would go together.

I don’t know why you think praying for you is hateful. Did someone say “I’ll pray for you.” and then refuse to serve you dinner or something?

Then maybe you can be a little more respectful to those who are attempting to answer your questions (lax 16).

Actually I understand these terms, epistemiology and empiricism quite well. Your "principle of knowing"is that only that which can be studied or verified by the empirical method exists, right? Well I’m here to tell you that even though He inspired it in the thinking of men, God cannot be understood through the empirical method. Nor can He be reduced (reductionism) to understanding through materialism. Any assertion that He must be proven empirically is an assertion founded in bias.

Well thanks for *telling *me that, now give you understand epistemology can you demonstrate it?

Well said, Rebecca. The violent knee jerk reaction that unbelievers have toward being prayed for is rather revealing, though, eh? I

No one has attempted to answer anything , all that has happened is I have been patronised telling me I need prayed for etc. How would you feel if you attempted to have a serious discussion with muslims and all you got was replies telling you how lost you were and they would all pray for you and that allah touched your heart etc.

Excuse me! Where on earth have I been violent in any of my actions or reactions?
