How do you feel about Taylor Marshall's podcasts lately

Marshall and Gordon are exceptionally smart people who can say things that others fear to say.

I think they’ve discussed how Bishop Barron is likely to be named to the empty see of Birmingham AL, to “rein in” EWTN. As I understand it, EWTN is an independent corporation, but the priests, nuns, brothers would be under his control.

Altogether, TnT (Marshall and Gordon) discuss Vigano, Schneider, et al. who are very concerned about the homosexual infiltration of the Church and the hundred-year old threat of the Freemasons to destroy the Church. The global sex abuse crisis, global sex misconduct scandal, the almost incredible diversion of Church funds to pay settlements to abuse victims, the un-apostolic actions of bishops in shielding sexual abusers, etc. are real. TnT are not paranoid nor otherwise delusional about what is going on and what future outcomes are likely in the Church.

Years ago, Fr Benedict Groeschel (on EWTN) predicted that it would take generations for the Church to dig itself out of the mess it is in, and he was reflecting on the situation as it was known since 2002. He said that the Church had handed the sword to its critics. Ralph Martin and Fr John Riccardo and Al Kresta have spoken about the DIRE situation the Church is in, how the US bishops “have lost all credibility.”

TnT (Taylor and Tim) are NOT outside the boundary of concerned Catholics. Lay Catholics cannot just bury their heads in the sand, because these problems will not take care of themselves and we need to stand up to the hierarchy as strongly as Priests for Life have stood up to oppose abortion.

Other Catholic voices are saying THIS is the worst crisis the Church has ever faced. And the focus is on Pope Francis, because he could FIX these things because of his absolute power.

There are deep questions about Pope Francis. WHY has he not traveled back to his home country of Argentina, as Pope John Paul II went to Poland and Pope Benedict XVI went to Germany? There are deep questions about his alleged misconduct in handling priest predators in Argentina.

Even in other Church matters, Pope Francis has raised doubts about his writing that divorced and remarried Catholics may receive the Eucharist, which runs against standing Church policies. And, why is Pope Francis worried about plastic in the oceans while he has a global sex abuse crisis in his hands?

TnT use youtube as a low cost way to raise the questions that need to be answered. IMHO

The problem with Sola Traditio - Marshall’s position - is that you don’t know how many other potentially relevant, authoritative Church documents he may have skipped over, to get to some particular document he cites, to refute the pope. You also don’t know the context of the cited document.

I don’t know how to evaluate internet sites that are independent of the Church, since the Independent Internet, overall, is incredibly unreliable, much more unreliable than the bishops.

The Independent Internet Magisterium is awful.
Why do you think Marshall is sola traditio?

Not a truthful person? The Pope. That is a horrible thing to say. He seems like a good man to me. God bless Pope Francis! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

He seems like a good man to me.
Well I’m convinced. Thank you.

Why can’t a pope be untruthful and not a good pope? Have you studied Catholic history at all?

Im not saying he is a bad person but maybe he should be focused on the rampant homosexuality in the clergy and not on climate change and the destruction of sovereignty.

I use to watch all the videos by Taylor Marshall … loved it! Now I avoid them. The constant criticism of the bishop of Rome just got to me … Don’t get me wrong, some criticism is OK… but when it is a constant non-stopping video after video of criticism… enough. Same with the group called the Remnants. At one point they will have to decide on their path to follow…

I see, you believe he is untruthful because he is addressing other issues besides sexual promiscuity in the Church. I think the Pope can walk and chew gum at the same time.
It is possible for him to wade into other issues besides homosexuality.
FYI, climate change is a huge problem.
I don’t believe the Pope has said anything about destroying sovereignty.

Pope Francis inherited problems caused by the Popes who preceded him.

Oh,yes, I think these problems went on for years. I think the two previous popes put out documents like the Catechism which told everybody what morality looks like and I think they believed that the priests and bishops would get the message. It didn’t work. Since Vatican II a lot of papal documents have been ignored.

In my diocese and parish, there’s hardly a mention about a new papal document, really no attention to it at all. The middle hierarchs decided what the papal documents meant and how to interpret them, One previous bishop we had notoriously looked for every loophole and drove through them. Any discretion that was given to him, he turned around and pushed it down to the individual priests.

This is neither academic nor trivial. The whole “new evangelization” has been pushed down to the parish level where there is nothing. In Acts, it is the apostles who were “sent” to preach the gospel, but now it is supposedly all up to the people. Actually I knew this when I was 11 years old, it was obvious to me, but I got no support or encouragement from the Church.

For example, if I thought that I should teach RCIA, I don’t even know where to begin. We have commissioned lay ministers who do some of that, i guess, but there’s never a word about it. We also have a permanent lay deacon, too.

Yes God Bless him.
Popes are human. They sin. There have been some terrible popes in the past don’t you agree? If so, then there shouldn’t be anything wrong with questioning Pope Francis…because in reality, the only thing that separates the past popes that it is OK to criticize and the current pope, is time.

I think he isn’t truthful in certain dealings…especially with his time in Argentina. However, what I think doesn’t matter. It is what God knows.

I understand…but what if this Pope has been covering up sexual crimes in the clergy? Is it OK to just let it go because he is the Pope? ALL this dirty laundry needs to be aired out. And PF isn’t doing much to help his cause.

If we just let the Pope be the Pope and not question him, well…the Church will never thrive and evil will still be present.

I don’t disagree. You can question the Pope on his behaviour or lack of… If that is the case you do one good video on the subject. But when you do one video after another, again and again, and invite guests that do the same (hey, even groups that say that we haven’t had a good pope since Pius XII), at one point you have to draw a line. And looking at me and my life, I am in no way in a position to cast the first stone. What if instead of criticizing, we prayed for him? Asked God to guide him? Request the Holy Spirit to fill him up? Ask the Holy Mother, Saint Joseph, Saint Peter… etc. to pray for him? I believe that would be way more fruitful than producing countless videos of constant criticism.

You made a pretty big leap of logic there accusing me of calling the pope untruthful. I simply asked you a general question about the papacy. Which you ignored.

As far as sovereignty goes, Pope Francis has repeatedly spoken out against borders, walls, control of immigration. A country that is not allowed to control its borders is not sovereign.

What if more and more information comes out after the first video?
And we should always pray for our pope, and I have heard in just about every critical video, TM tell his listeners to pray for the Pope

Did you choke on your hypocrisy when you typed that? So you are saying we can’t even question pope Francis but YOU can blame previous popes for everything? It is now clear that it is not an issue of the papacy with you but it’s a cult of personality issue you have with Pope Francis. He is saying things that you personally agree with so how dare anyone question him (and you by association)

Pope Francis is the first prayer of my rosary every day. It is not an either or. I don’t like some of the things he says so I criticize him. Then I pray for him that he will be guided by the Holy Spirit.

Exactly right. The videos are about Archbishop Vigano’s letters, of which there are three, Cardinal Sarah’s speeches, and different encyclicals. It’s not the same subject matter beating a dead horse. They also refute sedevacantism to whomever posted about Pope Pius XII.

The problem with Sola Traditio - Marshall’s position
Taylor Marshall adhere’s to the Sola Traditio position? That’s news to me.

Edit: I also meant to ask: do you have any evidence to support this claim?
