I have to admit that I should pray the Rosary more often than I do. But, I have found that I can pray the Rosary in my car using my Rosary beads.
I’ve been using a Rosay like this shop.leafletonline.com/Leaflet/productr.asp?pf%5Fid=11285&gift=False&0=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D276%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D%2CSingle%20Decade%20Rosaries&HSLB=False&mscssid=00A0DEFB0987B4EB4B667D3E79E03AB7 while driving and I think that it’s safer to use when driving than the regular beads. If necessary, I don’t hesitate to drop it on the passenger seat to hold the wheel with both hands.

BTW, don’t forget to open your eyes every now and then when praying the Rosary behind the wheel. 😃

I’m very fortunate being in sales, my time is pretty much my own. Whenever I can which is most days, I can get by a Church and say my Rosary in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Sometimes I feel I get some fantastic insights and consolation, other times, not. It’s all ok though in my book, it’s a little like perseverance and I think we’re all called to that.

I firmly believe the Rosary can change your life. It know it has mine. We have four teenagers at our house including a child with autism and we say a family Rosary every Sunday.

If you’re struggling, I might suggest a scriptural Rosary if it hasn’t already been suggested on this thread, sorry I haven’t read every reply. A scriptural Rosary is bound to help you focus more and thats where I have problems sometimes.

I have recently purchased a cassette tape of the rosary being recited with Marian hymns as background music. I can turn this on and off whenever I want or need to. I find driving to and from places a great time to do this, and it also serves the purpose of eliminating frivolous thoughts. So whether it’s to and from town to run errands or do volunterr work or go to Mass, or just some other time during the day, this is a great way to “fit it in.” Also, the drive to and from town is more than sufficient time to complete an entire decade and then the tape is exactly where I need it for the next day.

Another way to do the rosdary is to go to the site virtualrosary.com and you have many options for the rosary format and illustrations and commentaries. You can select the day of the week/the mysteries to be said so you’re always where you should be. The Ave Maria plays softly in the background. It keeps track of where you are while saying it. And the Chaplet of Divine Mercy is also available. Really great resource.

I pray 5 decades each day at 3:00 pm if possible, otherwise ill pray it as soon as i get home from work. The changes by grace that it has brought to my life are utterly astounding! Sometimes ill pray it right after mass within the first hour after recieving our LORD in communion.

You’re right - it does make a difference praying the Rosary daily, as I often feel my thoughts tend more towards God on the days I have said it.

As I don’t always get up in time to pray the Rosary before leaving for work, I often pray it on the road whilst I am commuting to work on public transport which takes about an hour each way. I’m trying to make a special effort this Lent to get up in time to pray it before work!🙂

I pray it daily but, too often, my mind wanders and I fear it is perfunctory, especially when I’m driving to work. That won’t stop me from saying daily rosary. Any rosary is better than none at all. At least that’s the way I see it.

Wow! you sound like me…I have NO IDEA what to do to help myself other than spiritual reading.
What I think helps is Adoration…I am sticking with that and hoping/praying my devotion to the rosary comes back. There are times when I tell God I don’t feel like praying the rosary today.
Hopefully I can find someone who has been through this before to help me out…it would be nice to have another person to share my faith with at this time in my life where I too struggle with prayer like this…but there is no one, and priest are too busy to hang out with me on the weekend and guide me through it.
Feel free to mail me on this forum if you wish…
God bless!
Dear friend

I have sent you a mail. Thank you for responding to my post.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

I keep saying I am going to say the Rosary every day and then I just seem to forget to. The days I do say it, it makes such a difference! It brings me so much peace. As it is, I tend to only say it once a week, but I really should do it every day, as I wear the Brown Scapular. I am ashamed to say that I do not say my Rosary often enough. I need to just do it!!

I fit it in right before bed. Then, I have all the intentions to pray for, so I kneel next to or sit on my bed until I am done with it.

I pray the rosary on the bus in the morning on my way to work. I have just enough time to finish it before I reach my office. Sometimes I feel bad though–I fall asleep while I am saying it.

Here is a quote I found to help me get through it daily

“Say the Holy Rosary. Blessed be that monotony of Hail Mary’s which purifies the monotony of your sins!”

We pray infront of the abortion clinic in town on tusedays and thursdays so that helps to get it in…and on most days we pray the rosary before daily mass, which gives us every day except saturday and sunday…those I just pray before I go to bed.

During my work week, I say the Rosary while on the way to work. It is so much better thinking about the mysteries than listening to the noise on the radio. I have found my day to go better. If I do not complete the rosary on the way to work, I keep my work rosary which is a simple but durable chain rosary in my uniform jacket. There are times that I am stationed in an area where it is the perfect time to say it. This prayer keeps me near the Blessed Mother and Christ throughout the work day. On my days off, I will attempt to make a visit and say my rosary then.

Thanx for asking.

I pray the rosary on the train ride in to work, or if I drive. I purchased a CD with Pope John Paul II praying the rosary in latin that I like to listen to as well. It’s a bit safer when driving to use the CD, but I am guilty of using the beads while on the road. There’s just something comforting about them.

God Bless,

~Cleopa

I can say an entire rosary while waiting for a post to submit on Catholic Answers Forums because it takes so long to the computer to work.

**“I love to fall asleep while saying praises to either Our Lord or Our Lady. No day could end better than one in which my last words are of praise to God or to His mother!” **quoted

I agree, but at the same time, I struggle with guilt sometimes. Like why can’t I stay up long enough to finish my prayer? I have these small thoughts that shoot me down at times saying “you can’t even finish a prayer, tish tish tish”
I’ve only recently started to pray the Rosary daily, and am finding it is rewarding but more often then not at the moment anyway, very challenging.
That isn’t going to stop me though!

That’s the spirit!

So you sleep while praying? No problem, just resume from where you stopped on the next day. 😉

I pray with a rosary group every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Church Chapel. I work every day, so I go during the workday. Sometiems, I’m busy and can’tmake it, but I go when I can.

The prayer group is from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Tuesday at St. Williams Parish on St. Simons Island, Ga.

Praying the rosary provides such powerful grace from the Holy Spirit!

Everyday. Anywhere. I keep a rosary ring in my pocket and a rosary in my car and purse. There are rosary around my house and if I get caught without my rosary I use my fingers. I don’t say the rosary I pray the rosary.😉
