**How do you guys come up with this stuff? **
“Christians (not Catholics) put their faith in Jesus instead of … Mary, or the Pope, or Saints”?
***Implying that Catholics do not put Jesus Christ first….wrong, Jesus Christ is the focal point of Catholicism! ***
Or,
“Catholics worship Mary”
***Wrong, all worship is for God Alone! ***
*Or *
“Catholics pray to statues”
Wrong again!
Or,
“Catholics are not Christians”
Wrong again, Catholicism was the first Christian religion and is the only fully, true Christian religion today.
Or,
*“The Bible says not to call anyone “father” and Catholics Call their priests fathers” *
Here is another misconception; the Bible verse mention, is referring to one God as Father, not that we are forbidden to call anyone else “father”, if that were the case….you would have a mother and a what? Using this crazy argument, one could not even call their biological father, “father”.
Or,
“We are all saved by grace alone and not by are works”
Again …wrong and anti-Biblical.
Or,
“Once saved, always saved” or “Guaranteed Salvation”
***Wrong and anti-Biblical… ***
Or,
“Catholics pray to “dead people” and we are told in the bible not to do this”
Wrong and anti-biblical.
Or,
“Jesus is only symbolically present in the Eucharist”
Wrong and anti-biblical.
Or,
‘The Christian Church is a body of believers, everyone who believes in Jesus, is a member of the Christian Church”
Wrong and anti-biblical.
Or,
“All I need is the Bible” or Bible alone.
Wrong and anti-biblical.
Or,
Jesus had other (biological) brothers and sisters, so Mary did not remain a virgin.
Wrong and anti-biblical.
And so and so and so on……
I can go on but my point here is that many non-Catholic Christians and their denominations are not as close in beliefs to Catholicism, as others may think they are…including some Catholics here.
Catholicism is under attack!
Some here wrongly assume that being “nice” to one another is more important than telling the truth to one another. Telling the truth is more important and as a Catholic, defending your Catholic faith is more important than whether or not people from another denomination “likes you”…
There are some, who are going to be smiling and happy and holding hands and they are going to skip together, right into Hell.
Be careful people!
We should be polite and respectful, loving and forgiving….but we need to tell the truth!
Your thoughts?
