Ah! Because you don’t follow the same religion as I do.How do you “know” mine’s wrong ?![]()
We don’t. I don’t. No one knows if they are right. We need solid proof and no one has that. We can believe we are right but no matter how confident someone is, they don’t know. Maybe every religion is right. Maybe what you believe is what really happens. Maybe there is nothing beyond death. Maybe every religion has some things right and some things wrong in what happens. Maybe when you die, you are born again into the same life but another dimension to try to learn the lessons you didn’t learn in this life.Out of the thousands of religions in the world, how do you know yours is right? I’m asking every individual that read this; how do you know you’re right on this?
Just a question.![]()
the difference between all the thousands religions and Catholocism, is that Jesus has risen from the dead. mohammed, still dead. buddah still dead. and on it goes. only Jesus, has a claim to the truth. he conquered death, and ascended to heaven. he is God the Son. at some point he will return, and usher in the fullness of his redemption. as to why i converted from protestantism to Catholicism, that is an entirely seperate issue. Peace to you and yours.Out of the thousands of religions in the world, how do you know yours is right? I’m asking every individual that read this; how do you know you’re right on this?

Uhm sorry, but you cannot prove that. All you have is the bible which is not scientific proof that he rose from the dead. Scientifically, that is impossible, so without scientific proof, you only have faith to rely on. And thats what religion is. Faith. Because religion talks about the unknown. Unknown meaning things we cannot prove, so it relies on faith.the difference between all the thousands religions and Catholocism, is that Jesus has risen from the dead. mohammed, still dead. buddah still dead. and on it goes. only Jesus, has a claim to the truth. he conquered death, and ascended to heaven. he is God the Son. at some point he will return, and usher in the fullness of his redemption. as to why i converted from protestantism to Catholicism, that is an entirely seperate issue. So, God allowed everyone who is alive, to be born in a state of being ‘lost’. Since it is his fault, and not the fault of people, that they are born in such a state, he made a way through which they could be ‘found’. This way was the way of Christ’s death and resurrection. All men are ‘redeemed’ through this act, and are thus found. They need do nothing themselves.I Know I am right! That might sound arrogant but it’s not, and here is the reasons why.

Scripture tells us no one but the Father knows when the end will come so to even contemplate it is to seek something we are not entitled to know. I think the more important thing to worry about then God’s second coming is our going to Him. That is more likely to happen then His coming back to us. We will have much to answer and we better be ready to answer.Uhm sorry, but you cannot prove that. All you have is the bible which is not scientific proof that he rose from the dead. As for the other posters:
Glad you guys are starting to see what I’m getting at.
PS: I am a quite anxious for his return too, to be honest. They say its coming up soon. And they have been saying this for centuries, but finally, the end times prophecies are being fulfilled. Before 1948, it would have been impossible because Isreal did not return to a nation until that year.
Plus the technological improvements in the past 100 years is the most that has ever been done in all of human history. All the prophecies are coming together right before our eyes. I think god will come back before we have flying cars and floating houses though.
But I saw a documentary that in 2050 we’re supposed to be able to have robotic maids, holographic pets, computer- controlled cars, floating cars, veri-chips implanted in humans, and tons more. BUT, I believe god will come back before we could ever live in a world like that. But that is my personal opinion. Which more than likely means that he will come back in my lifetime. I am in the younger generation as we speak.
But please, don’t call me conspiracy crazy. I’m just taking the bibles prophecies and trying to see how they apply to time as we speak.
One has to look at why the “lost state” was the condition first. So, God allowed everyone who is alive, to be born in a state of being ‘lost’. Again, you have to look at the works of God in the redemption process. If it was God who in the creative process caused mankind to become lost, then it must be God who is the only entity that could redeem His own creation.Or do you argue that no one who was born after the redeeming efforts of Jesus, to have been born in a state of being ‘lost’?>>> Noesis
I explain as the opportunity allows, since I am sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Why have you not yet explained to us why you feel this formulation of the mysteries of the cosmos to be correct?>>> Noesis
The variety of religious beliefs was in part to the lack of light on the subject of who God was from the beginning of humanity, and until the light of the world came, as Jesus, who has revealed the true nature of God.Does this explain the variety of religious perceptions?>>> Noesis
Logically coherent: To many no, because most are steeped in their own religious beliefs understandings.Do you find your formulation to be logically coherent? Is there a part of it which you feel might be unsound?>>> Noesis
You’re asking a question and giving the answer all in the same question.n your system, what is the purpose of any man worshiping your God? Why should he be loved? After all, he caused men to be born in a state which is lesser than he had originally intended. This state, in turn, leads men away from loving him, simply as a result of the states very nature.>>> Noesis
One can not exercise knowledge without the ability to do so, as in reasoning or judgment between two extremes and not be as a separate entity as gods. Why does evil exist in the world, if all men have already been ‘saved’ from the state in which God created them? Is something incomplete?>>> Noesis
Knowledge of anything of God is only good to the one who seeks it earnestly, honestly, and truthfully in willingness to worship God, for the bountifulness of life in gratitude, praise and knowing that at the end of this life, being with Him is joy everlasting. Why should men even attempt to ‘know’ what you, in a ‘non-arrogant’ way, claim to ‘know’, if such ‘knowledge’ will do nothing further for them?>>> Noesis
Contraire’, my friend, scripture presents knowledge, knowledge we can consume, digest and learn from, as scripture is a lamp unto our feet in a dark world so that we can see not to stumble. What is the purpose of scripture, if men have no need of its knowledge? After all, even being ignorant of it, ‘saves’ them anyway.>>> Noesis
What is a robot is the answer to that question.Instead of offering a divine sacrifice to himself, why didn’t God simply prevent himself from causing men to be born in a ‘lost’ state? Is the former way far easier than the latter? Is it easier for your God to do certain things than others?>>> Noesis
Your questions are good ones to ask and I don’t mind answering to the best of my ability to explain.I could ask dozens more questions, but I think I have at the very least offered enough for you to reconsider your very strong certitude; or at least to demonstrate that it is not in the least something admirable to reason or to wisdom.>>> Noesis
I’m guessing that many on here “know” they are right because they believe they are. That is in itself the start of difficulties. We can also ask “right according to what?” Faithers of every stripe will say “Why, according to my religion, of course!” And of course there is the gamut of “One True” religions to support that. But do even two people fo the same nominal faith practice the same religion? Probably not. they are both individulas who picked up some things and not others, believe son and not others, or have unoique shades of experience or meaning attached to different parts of belief. Just look at pew polls or the 15 question religion test on another thread. One interpretation of the original results had atheists better informed about some matters than the faithful.Out of the thousands of religions in the world, how do you know yours is right? He said to watch for the ‘signs of the season’ which is why we have end times prophecies, basically to warn us for what will eventually happen. to be alert.Scripture tells us no one but the Father knows when the end will come so to even contemplate it is to seek something we are not entitled to know. I’ve never given it a thought, mostly because I’m not concerned with proving it to anyone, or trashing my fellow Christians – a popular sport here – or anyone else, for that matter.Out of the thousands of religions in the world, how do you know yours is right? But do you have proof (other than the bible) that yours is the 100% truth over all the other thousands of religions out there?I’ve never given it a thought, mostly because I’m not concerned with proving it to anyone, or trashing my fellow Christians – a popular sport here – or anyone else, for that matter.
Never thought about it, honestly, don’t need to. I don’t know what God’s plans are for others. But I’m pretty sure His plans for me don’t involve pissing contests with Catholics, Lutherans, atheists or anyone else about what is 100% truth. Those arguments are the driest of dry wells. But do you have proof (other than the bible) that yours is the 100% truth over all the other thousands of religions out there?

Why oh why would ‘the devil’ be the cause of a religion that stresses the importance of God and his sovereignty? Now compare that with the Koran, which is said to be what an angel told Mohammed. Whree do you think you will find greater authority: from God Himself? or from an angel? (and remember that angels come in two varieties: the good angels, and the bad angels which we call demons or devils)
