Oh but it is that is why we require baptism even if we have never personally sinned. This isn’t true:
“The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.” -Ezekiel 18:20
Though we inherit the sinful nature of our fathers, we are not pronounced guilty because of it:
“But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things:” -Ezekiel 18:14
“Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:” Exodus 20:5
“A mamzer, that is to say, one born of a prostitute, shall not enter into the church of the Lord, until the tenth generation.” Deuteronomy 23:2
"And you say: Why hath not the son borne the iniquity of his father? Verily, because the son hath wrought judgment and justice, hath kept all my commandments, and done them, living, he shall live. " Ezekial 18:19
The only reason the sins of the father were not upon also his sons in the pasage of Ezekial you quoted where because the son made amends for the fathers sins, such as the Christian does when he receives baptism, you must read the scriptures in their context to understand them.
